Did they just censor something, I'm guessing political, at the end?
I think they just ran out the alloted time....although I am sure it will come through in the press room
They were really anal about the time slot this year.
They cut off a lot of great speeches, while having stupid segments, like the "last episode" segment.

No, it was in the middle of the last thing that Gary said. The blanked out the audio for a couple seconds right after he said "Pray for peace".
missed that -- I was wondering who those two were on his side were (I didn't see the entire telecast)

They were 'real' people who gave out the reality show award.
Couldn't agree with you more Matt. Sophie's Choice is my all-time favorite movie and IMO Meryl Streep's performance as Sophie is the greatest performance by an actress in the history of American Cinema!!! And her performance in Angels in America was phenomenal!
Where were Julie Andrews and Emma Thompson?

Either Mary Louise Parker is an awful bitch, or Billy Crudup is a total idiot to dump that gorgeous woman for Claire Danes!
Billy Crudup is a total idiot.

total idiot - and a loser for leaving someone whos pregnant with you child. might i add that i think claire danes is an idiot for dating someone who would leave the pregnant mother-to-be of his child ..... paging Britney Spears, paging Britney Spears.
I tell you, some people have no class.
Did Kelsey really need another Emmy for Frasier?
Although 20 years playing the character is pretty impressive!
Glebb, FYI, Miss Ullmann has MANY emmys...all deserved....

I thought Kelsy deserved it. The final episode of Frasier was one of the best series finales ever. I'm going to risk being lynched, but I didn't think John Ritter really deserved the nod because he was only in one episode that whole season. Yeah, it's nice sentiment, but that he shouldn't have been qualified for Best Lead Actor. I feel the same way about Matt Le Blanc except that it has to do with the quality of his acting.
To me, Larry David, Tony Shaloub, and Kelsy Grammar were the best of the nominees.
Oh thanks lildogs. I must have missed seeing all of her wins. :)
Tracey does deseve them and then some. :)
