THE HEIRESS on TCM at 10:00

See this superb film that won many Oscars including Best Actress to Olivia de Havilland of 1949. Directed by William Wyler, score by Aaron Copland, and featuring Ralph Richardson, Montgomery Clift, and Bette Davis's favorite, Miriam Hopkins. :)

Do you know what happens when you let Veal Prince Orloff sit in an oven too long?

Jennifer Jason Leigh's WASHINGTON SQUARE is not available on DVD either.

The play THE HEIRESS with Cherry Jones was excellent.

I love that movie, though I don't have TCM (or a tv) so I won't be watching it. About a year ago, I read an article about the real family that inspired the play, "Washington Square" from which this was adapted.

Glebb, I’m pretty sure Washington Square is available on DVD (never got around to seeing it, though...how does Jennifer Jason Leigh compare to Olivia de Havilland?).

Fantastic film.

Would I be stoned to death if I said that as much as I LOVE Olivia's (Oscar-winning) performance in this film...

...I thought Cherry Jones on Broadway was BETTER?

I love Cherry and Olivia and Jennifer.
I looked for Washington Square at Virgin and they said it was not available on video/DVD.
