Just watched it and I must say that it pleasantly surprised me. Not at all like the light dramedy that the highly misguiding ads were touting, The Weather Man is angsty, bleak, and blacker than night. Just how I like my movies. 
Tis a shame it was so overlooked when it was released. Perhaps it will find an audience now that it's on DVD.
And I must mention the cinematography. The entire film looks absolutely gorgeous. Bleakness hasn't been this beautiful since Fargo.
