How is a Cirque Du Soliel show about Michael Jackson A concert tour?

Yeah, that made me go hmmmmmm too....
I guess because it's on tour, in arenas and is the music of Michael.
And goes under the Boxscore sales-
but i agree- a cirque show should not be on that list
it nly sold out 9 shows out of its 183 total shows too---- sneaky sneaky

I will not begrudge her the bragging rights she earned by charging very high ticket prices (which proves the material and the show were great), however, all those shows were not SOLD out.
Streisand is the biggest winner. All accomplished with only 12 shows.

I can't believe dead pop stars can tour and make $147 million. And of course I refer to Coldplay.
I enjoyed her concert--overall a lot, after the 90 minute wait, but there is no way the second Vancouver concert was sold out. It looked, and felt, 1/4 empty at best. Maybe this is due to the corporate tickets she sells that they give out and people don't show up?

Many of the shows were not sold out. But for the sake of this report, they rounded up to "sold out."
I am sure you are right Namo. We were packed like sardines at the Bowl. I did see that they had seats on sale that morning. Mostly those overpriced amex vip packages.
I am sure some seats were left available but corporate seats are paid for and sometimes not used (annoyingly keeping fans from getting them). There are pics however of each venue she has played minutes before the show on Facebook (Best of Madonna Group) and what Monte Pitman (her guitarist) takes before each show and each venue looks packed so she pretty much sold out where she went. Also her ticket prices were not much more expensive than say Springsteen. Me and my fella watched him 2 days before we watched Madonna at Hyde Park and the tickets were almost the same price.
Madonna's total is also not complete yet, the South American dates she is doing at the moment (that are all 50.000 plus sold out stadiums) have not been added yet so the amount is more likely much higher.
If you want to talk about discrepancies on the list then look no further that Lady Gaga. Her tour sold so bad in South America that they have not even declared some dates, others are just major lies. She was selling around 17.000 tickets in 50.000 stadiums yet they are marked as sold out. Not only that but in many venues she had to do buy 1 get 1 free and even refunded 1000s of fans money who had paid full price after she had to drop ticket prices by 80 percent. Europe she failed to sell some stadiums so canceled and move in to sports halls, her 2nd night in the UK was under half full (yet marked as a sell out) and in Russia she is playing to 9000 people in 17.000 capacity arenas yet her team mark them as sold out.
Lady Gaga - UK
And Eric, this is the night you were there (memories lol), looks pretty full

Why are you so invested in this? Does it validate that the crap album you love is good if the shows sell out? I checked several cities the morning of the shows in those cities just for crap and giggles and in most of them I had my pick of seats. If the seats were filled, she was papering the house just like she did in Worcester MA on the American Life tour.
Also, "pretty much sold out" is a lot like being "a little bit pregnant."

Why are you so invested in saying she was not sold out and having more sly digs at her, out of everyone on the list you had to pick Madonna to talk about first.....yet you hate her (psycho stalker alert) ? It was the last thing you could say after the reviews were great and the show has been a huge financial success......especially after you predicted it would flop in America, turns out the reception was even better in America. And no Namo she did not paper at all, not a discount code, not anything..... Something which has been reported recently when the media were discussing all the mass discounts and free tickets Gaga had to do. Also you just have to check the gross per venue. Never mind though Namo, so none of your predictions came true (again), she will have another album/tour for you to bash soon, just try to hold on till then. And yes I thought apart from a few naff songs the album was great.

The grosses were compiled from November to November- so yes.. madonna's late November and all of the December dates were out of the totals.... it would've been much higher.
