From the exterior, it looks like the Adonis might have been a beautiful theatre back in the day.

I never did understand the appeal of an indoor ferris wheel.
It just seemed so...sad. I guess it got kids out of their parents' hair for a few minutes.

It opened in 1921 as the Tivoli. That was a very common name for a theater back then. I never heard of the architectural firm that did it.
It had about 1500 seats so it was a medium size picture palace/vaudeville venue. I have never seen photos of the interior.
