Why all of a sudden are we getting full body scanners now? Why are people being groped now? We haven't had any planes hijacked since 9/11. Why is this stuff needed now? It's not. It's an absolute joke.
I live in New York City, I have all my life. You want to know a real joke? Go to Madison Square Garden to see an event. THERE ARE NO REAL CHECKS. You can walk in with a big winter jacket on and security doesn't even give a ****. They don't pat you down or wave a metal detector. You have 18,000+ people there on any given night in a famous building. Now that my friends is a ****ing joke.
Look at all of the theatres we go to. No one is checked there, and no a simple look in your bag is not a real check. Are we going to have be strip searched to step into the theatre next? I'm sick of us an American public just sitting back and not fighting against these idiots.
**** the TSA and **** their bull****. If enough people feel this way this **** will stop.

Terrorists are just going to keep amending their strategies. They can put explosives in a body cavity, and they won't be detected by a scanner.
Man, I wish I flew more in the 90's. I miss that decade.

Although we still need screening, this will not help. Terrorists could plant a bomb on a plane as airport security other than screening is a joke. Add to that pilots get a free pass now because they got their panties in a wad over this & this free pass is a dumb move. This enhanced screening is a farce .It is merely a feel good move. If old GWB was president now he would be personally responsible for it by now.
There has to be a balance to achieve our goal. Doing this & letting terrorists sneak stuff in through the airport back door is moronic

I agree. If they are interested in attacking us, they will, one way or another. It may not be by plane but I'm sure they can figure something out that will do the same (if not more) damage than 9/11.
Obviously, I think too much (or maybe I can work for the FBI 
) but I was thinking...
You know how we can't bring more than 3 oz of liquid in a bottle on the plane? Well, the number of 3 ounce bottles is not really limited so the terrorists could bring several 3 once bottles through security. Then, they can buy a bottle of water once they are through security, dump the water out and pour the liquids in that they brought through in 3 oz bottles.
I don't know what the "ingredients" are or what size bottle they need to make this device but it just goes to show, there are ways to get around everything, one way or another.

My sister has a prosthesis that they dust for explosives when she flies.
Before long there will be gynecologists stationed at the airports for full body searches.

Well, apparently it is working, because we have not had another explosion. Isn't that the measure we were told to use all those years under Bush while we willingly gave away our civil liberties and rights?
If the TSA relaxes and there is a bomb, it is Obama's fault. If they are more vigilant, it is Obama's fault. Nice echo chamber.
I do wonder if this would be any different if Obama's choice to lead the TSA had not been blocked by Jim DeMint.
On a more serious note, the process does need to be tweaked, and apparently the TSA is looking into alternatives.
