Artscallion, I also understand what you mean, but I see it totally different. The kissing was in the article I linked. I did not put the kissing in the thread title because that link did not mention the kissing.
IMO, it comes down to him being an actor.I can not take him seriously.Sorry, but I just can't. He is in the wrong profession if he is this uptight about something so common. My Mom loves the show 7th Heaven and that is about as pro family and Christian as it comes. By his standards,he must disapprove of the Pastor and his wife on the show, since in real life they both have spouses. They kiss and hug and even act like a real life husband and wife. You see what I mean when I ask, where does it stop? He sounds like an uptight jerk in my opinion. Who would hire him? I mean, IMO,he sounds rather difficult not doing something so common for actors. If I were a director I would not want to work with someone who apparently is so easily offended. I also have to wonder if it is true that he knew about the sex scene but took the job anyway. If so, what were his intentions? Could he really have assumed they would cater to his demands even though he agreed to do the part? Not enough info is coming out about this. I'll have to watch Niki Finke's site throughout the weekend.
His wife is an actress in real life. So,maybe he should have his agent write up a new contract where he will only appear in film and television with his wife. That would solve everything. Just my two cents.
