I take AP English and got an 89 the first marking period.
I got a progress report for half way through the second marking period with a 60 (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!) because I hadn't completed two assignments (which I did and she accepted) so hopefully my grade went up. We are going to be having a lot more work, so hopefully everything will work out. I have a 3.5 GPA as of now, but stupid history is not helping this year. Did I mention I hate history???

SAME HERE, PLUM! And I have the same prof for two classes, would make BOTH term papers due on the same day and wouldn't budge the due date!
I noticed, Jess! *claps* Too bad, those Osama pics are pretty nift.
I do like that exam period is separate from class so you only have those to worry about. I actually hate it when my last exam is a week apart from the initial blitzkrieg (as was the case this month) because you lose that momentum, you know?

Of course, all my profs were kind enough to make their final papers due while classes were still going on. Thanks, guys. Really.
I only had one final paper this semester, and it was due the last week of classes too. What's that about? Oh well, at least I'm not frantically trying to write it right now.

Aw, history was a breeze in high school. But then again, my teachers weren't all there, if you get my drift.
And yes, I'd rather have 3 or 4 days rather than a whole week of free time to study for an exam, because otherwise I'll start goofing off. This semester I pretty much spent 3 days living in the library reading my psychology textbook and making occassional sojourns to the music building to practice musicianship. Nooo goofing off. Except for reading one Lemony Snicket a day.

I was pretty good. The only big distraction was trying to figure out what to get my secret santa, and ending up crocheting her a scarf (which only took a couple hours, but still.)
Oh, and one night, my roommate and I:
Played animal charades designed for 5 year-olds.
Drew holiday cards for friends.
Did a puzzle.
Played pick-up sticks.
Yeah, when we distract ourselves, we don't even do "cool" things. Although it was the most fun I've had in a long time. My roommate and I are dorks, but we love it! Trying to watch her act out duck was really entertaining (probably only because it was 2 am, but still...)

Posted: 12/17/04 at 11:45pmI have distracted myself with Apples to Apples several times this week. Such a great game. Also went to this wonderful ice cream place about half an hour away tonight. Laughed so hard sharing this story of how freaked out one of the girls who lives with me is about cats and and incident where a cat wanted to be pet. It was hilarious! I aughed so hard I was crying. One more final tomorrow and I am done!!!! WOOHOO!
