As for that movie, BSo...
I'm Jewish, so obviously that movie is a very touchy subject, and obviously tattoos are hence a very touchy subject for a lot of people with close ties to the Holocaust. BUT, on the other hand, I don't think it's necessarily something that anyone should be trying to push on others. Like it or not, like iflit said, tattoos have become a part of American culture, beginning as an act of rebellion. The origin of them had absolutely nothing to do with the Holocaust, and nor does their creation as a part of American culture. Tattoos in this sense are not forced upon people, but rather a form of artistic expression. I understand where you're coming from, but it's sort of a completely different issue, in general terms.

emcee, obviously i am also jewsih
i meant that it raises a good point about tats...why do we get them? sure, the idea is very short in the movie, i think it is still interesting. of course, it doesn't hurt as much today as it did in the holocaust...but stil.
i just thought it was interesting in the movie...

Mr. Coyler, I thought I told you that you were disqualified from this round.
Not only do you come back, but you come back and still refuse to answer in question form.
I am afraid that this may become hostile if you do not follow the rules.
Please, for the final time, submit your responses in question form.

It is, BSo, but in different context, I think. Great movie, though.
Jim - what? I'm the first to be a general all-around respectful-of-others poster, but... what?! You're comparing proverbial apples and oranges, buddy. You're comparing what you call metophorical and "subconscious" tattoos caused by negative events to certain peoples' way of expressing themselves, and quite honestly, spinning yourself around in circles trying to make what I think you see as an intelligent outside-the-box point. I'm with Priest on this one. Give up.

You were correct, dolphin.
You, however, do not need to submit all repsonses in question form.
Only wannabe Nashville songwriters with weird logic need to do it.
It is in BWW's guidelines.
