I got a tattoo 2 years ago. I forget I have it most of the time, because it's not in a really obvious area.

I really want a tattoo, I just don't know where or what.
I'm thinking of getting the outline of Texas. If it's filled it, it'll probably be black.

This is hard to believe, but the first tattoo I got disappeared. I went to Tony's Tattoo parlor, a famous place in NJ. I had them do a small pair of lips (from Rocky Horror) on my right back shoulder. I saw the tattoo when it was finished. It was definitely there. I forget how long it took, but soon after that, it was gone!
So the next time, I drew my own lips tattoo, and went to a different place in Manville, NJ. This one is on my upper right arm near my shoulder. It stayed on, but the red faded over the years, and I had it recolored a few years ago. It's fading again.

That's strange that it disappeared.
Did it hurt?
I'm scared it'll hurt.

The one that disappeared didn't hurt. That's probably why it disappeared.
I have to admit, my second one was excruciating (sp?). I can withstand pain pretty well, but this really hurt! I won't lie to you. Other people, however, say theirs didn't hurt very much. It must vary from person to person.

The picture is blurry, not the tattoo itself. It's on my right hip.

Did you design that yourself?
If I don't get the Texas tattoo, I want to design one myself. I just can't draw.
