Teen Monologue Book

if you are going to use a monologue from a book for college auditions I would suggest you don't, any monolgoue that is published in a teen monologue book, will probably have been done over and over for the auditions commitee. Do your research, spend a day in Barnes and Noble or Borders, flipping through plays looking for chunks of text, Then remember that in college, your age range is practically doubled, because of the age range in the casting pool, so they wouldn't find it weird if say a 17yr old did the over used and over acted Pen Monologue from Death of a Salesman.
