Does anyone from here post there?
If so, do you happen to post in Grey's Anatomy thread?
Also, if there are people whopost there who bug you or are annoying, there's a great website called www.BitterbutBrilliant.com where you can discuss them. Great place to vent, because TWoP posts can get even bitchier than some posts here.
yes, and yes- although I am not as active in the GA thread as most of the posters there are.
I've been posting there for 4 years, but I don't watch Grey's Anatomy.

The only problem with the site is that if you wait until the morning after an episode to check out the forum, there are like 25 pages of comments to wade through. And if you dare to add a comment in which you say something that indicates you obviously didn't read through the previous 25 pages, they put you on WARNING - three strikes and you are banned.
I don't mind that at all. There is a reason behind the rule- it's a message board, not a personal blog, so it's rude and selfish for someone to post and add their two cents, but ignore what 400 people said before them. The boards are there for discussion.
If you *really* don't want to read/skim/scoll through the other posts, just don't say you didn't read them. That's the only way they know, so I don't see why it's so hard of a rule for people to get around. Also, don't post a "Did anyone else..." question when 30 people have already mentioned it.
i enjoy some of the recaps but many of the people who post there are so absorbed in the shows and TV itself, they remind me of trekkies. life is much better in person.
Dont post there, but love the recaps by Potes and Miss Alli. Potes is hysterical!
I haven't gotten around to registering to post, but I read the recaps and the forums for some shows. Not Grey's Anatomy as I would probably be one of those bitchy, bitter people.

I have a love/hate relationship with Television Without Pity. I discovered it five years ago or so when I became obsessed with the first season of American Idol. I was new to message boards and started to read Shack's deliciously snarky recaps.
There really is a lot to love about it. I love how the site is run...no personal attacks are allowed and they're VERY strict about it. I love how the Mods keep threads on topic. I love how you can freely post away about how much so and so from whatever show sucks and not worry about some overemotional fangirl/boy being personally wounded that you don't love their celeb of choice. The Mods even make sure the TONE of the posts stay civil. For example, you can't respond to a fellow poster starting off a sentence saying, "Um" or "Excuse me" because it's condescending and bitchy. Of course, you're free to be as condescending and bitchy about the show/actor of choice (hence "Television WITHOUT Pity") in your content. It's very refreshing!
What I don't love...the Mods (some of them, not most) can be a little ban-happy and they'll do it without explanation. The Mods can be really terse and bitchy (I'm looking at you Miss Alli) to posters and it goes unquestioned. And there are a lot of kiss ass posters who you can TELL modify their commentary to suck up to certain recappers. Also, the site (and message boards in general) have contributed to the popularity of Internet language I loathe, such as "I HEART ______" (I hate "I heart!" Why has the good old "I love?" fallen out of fashion?) and the dreaded "Wordy Mc Word."

I *heart* "I heart ____ ." :) Although, I started doing it after I Heart Huckabees for some reason.
I got hooked on Shack's recaps of season 3 of AI. Then discovered Miss Alli, but hers have been less and less funny.
Potes' ANTM and Janice Dickinson recaps are brilliant, but her funniest was "Riding the Bus with My Sister" starring Rosie O'Donnell.
I've read some of the posts, but I prefer to discuss these shows with posters here.
i have been attacked by fangurls on that site which is my i don't post there. the studio 60 threads are not to be believed.

Garland Grrl, really? That sucks. And it's surprising. Usually the Mods don't stand for that (unless they're doing the attacking, of course).

Riding the Bus with My Sister is the best recap ever! I read it again every so often when I need a laugh. For those who have never seen the TWoP website, this might be a good one to start your reading with.
TWoP- Riding the Bus with My Sister
It's tough to find these "special" recaps. I was hoping they would make it easier, but if there is no link within another recap, it's tough.
Good link, Anakela...and I recommend it highly to all.
She also, like Miss Alli, recaps commercials within her show recaps...so funny.
I first stumbled upon TWoP when I discovered Veronica Mars during the summer between seasons 1 and 2. I used the recaps to get me up to speed until I had a chance to finish watching the first season. I did the same with the 1st and 2nd season of House.
Now, I read them for all of my favorite tv shows, because I love the snarky attitude. I have never posted on the forums, however.
My current TWoP slate reads as follows:
* Veronica Mars
* House
* America's Next Top Model
* Project Runway
* Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
The Mondo extras make me happy beyond belief as well. Favorites probably include "Riding the Bus With My Sister" and "Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?"

I love the TWoP recaps. My favorite recaps are AI, Lost, Project Runway, House, and ANTM.
But I don't do the forums there. It's too much work, honestly!
Like doodle, I prefer to discuss the shows I like with the posters here on BWW. There's a thread for every show I like here, it's civil and it's more fun.

You go to "Shows" at the top next to "Forums" then scoll down to Mondo Extras.
Is anyone on TWoP right now? I've been trying all morning- trying to figure out if the site is down, or if work has blocked it. :)
I only read the recaps. The boards are just too congested. It takes forever to try and catch up with them.
I haven't been able to get on since around 9:30 central time. I was wondering if my work had finally figured how much time I spend on there and blocked it
Too bad--I was in the middle of reading another brilliant House recap!
It's not working for me either.
And I've never been there before.
Me neither. The site is down.
I usually go to fansofrealitytv.com
I love TWoP. I mostly read the recaps, but sometimes I post on the forums as well (Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, and Veronica Mars). The recaps are hilarious.
