This is a recent shot, so yeah ... it could have been better.

All the BWW ones are pretty disastrous, but that one they chose to advertise the article is just tragic. I'm not talking about how Ann-Margret looks in general, I'm talking about the crappy picture. The strands of hair on her nose make it look like something is wrong with her face.
At the very least, someone should have told her to give her wig a yank in the back.

I saw her do a tour of Best Little Whorehouse a few years back. It was a rough evening. To be fair, she had just broken (or otherwise hurt) her arm a few days before, so I don't know if she was hopped up on pain pills and thought the show must go on or what, but it was rough.

So Pat Cesario is a photographer now?
Brilliant.

I've always found most of Walter McBride's photography to be amateurish. I often wonder if he does his work for broadwayworld pro bono as I can't imagine anyone paying for his work. I mean look at this shot, he really needs to learn to separate a good shot from a bad shot and delete the shots that are unflattering.

Even worse are his moody "oh how dramatic" shots without a flash. I mean come on.

Oh... last one I promise. Lucie Arnaz. A good photographer would say to himself, "nope I can't use that shot it's really lousy".

I wouldn't mind the natural-lighting shots if the lighting were better. It looks like Lon Chaney did the setup for his Phantom of the Opera publicity shots.
They're anything but flattering. They seem to throw shadows under the bags in people's eyes and emphasize every wrinkle and chin.
Heigh-ho the glamorous life!

Posted: 10/10/13 at 10:24amIs this the same guy who has to post every single shot he took for the photo coverage articles? "Photo Coverage" does not mean "unedited". Seventeen shots of one person bowing at curtain call or fourteen shots of the same person singing the same solo is overkill. Does anyone actually edit the site?

I don't think she has any scars on her face.
"If only he could get her to Dr Ashley! He talked to him by phone and the doctor, though he couldn't guarantee a diagnosis, did feel that the operation could be done up through the gums, laying back the facial skin and not having to cut through her face. Roger didn't understand just how this was to be done, but he did understand what it would mean to this beautiful girl not to have scars."

Posted: 11/13/13 at 7:31pmAs MrMidwest posted, Ann-Margaret doesn't have any skin scars from her fall. I worked with her stage manager who was there when it happened, and was also there when the decision was made by Roger Smith not to operate topically. Nothing went through her skin. He told me all about how they did it (gruesome!) back when I worked with him in 1985.

Not for the 700 Sundays curtain call article! Yikes! How many pictures of a one man show curtain call do we need?!
Also, please double check the captions before posting! I see misnamed actors all the time, and the one time I mentioned the error I got a nasty response.
