I've never considered a MAC. They just seemed inferior to me.

Macs are obviously superior and hipper but I have never chosen to buy one because I buy into the line that most of the whole entire world runs on Windows and so therefore I should too. Pathetic. So not my nature.

The answer sometimes depends on the intended use. School use? Graphics? And rememeber, an apple a day keeps the worms away.

I just know I buy my computers just like I buy my cars. It's all about the color. The blueberry so matches my teal carpeting. Looking into a snow white G3 for the laundry room. Joking people!

But, Namo. I'm so disappointed in you. What a sell out.

Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

It's the same with operating systems. Lynix, I've heard, is head and shoulds above Windows but if you can't be compatable with the "Windows based" programs out there, what's the point?

i have broken every computer i touch. it doesn't matter how many gig-thingies it has, i always do some thing, like change the font, or adjust my screen resolution, and all of a sudden i'm getting messages that i don't have any memory free and should run this program to clear it but then the program to clear the memory won't open because i don't have enough memory to open it. i am the digital angel of death. i tried to uninstall something: i got a little annoying error box, of course, but this didn't say error. it said "catastrophic events have occured". i would lean toward a mac, because you actually work on the computer, not a system that operates the computer, so it can't crash. yet i continue to buy dells. sigh...

I really can't stand MAC. I'm much happier with a PC. The only thing cool about MAC are all the color ones they had advertized a few years ago. But the cool look is so not worht the pain in the ass.

I had always used a PC for work but had the opportunity to play around on my husband's Mac (G4) at home. When it came time to by my own laptop, I opted for an iBook. I was attracted to all the programs that are part and parcel of the 'package'...iPhoto (a wonderful photo management program, iTunes, and iMovie, in particular. Not having Word was problematic, but I have since acquired Microsoft Office for Mac and now am functional interacting in a mostly Microsoft world. I still have a Dell laptop at work, but have never regretted my decision to choose the Mac for my personal computer. Everything is so intuitive, and I've had few problem. And not for nothin', but the white iBook has to be the most attractive laptop out there.

I can use both. I grew up on a PC but my school and my field (graphics) are all MAC based. I think PCs use easier language. You turn it on... where should I go? Hmmmmm maybe I should click START. But Macs seem less tempermental in my experience.

PCs just because I'm too lazy to get out of my normal routine and venture out into the Mac world. Besides, finding programs for Windows seems to be much easier.

The sad thing is computers are becoming one of those things everyone in America HAS to have. Sort of like cars, it is suddenly cool to discuss what kind of computer you have like Ford or Chevy etc. etc. They have become so much a part of our daily lives its crazy. Imagine all the computer based things we use today that wasn't around 20 years ago that we think we can't live without.

I had a Mac for a while and it was torture. It crashed and froze about every two hours. I took it to the shop 3 times in one year. Finally I sold the damn thing for about $25 for parts because no one wanted it. I'm happy with my imperfect, but more versatile and functional PC. Plus, I can select from all the software instead of just a minor fraction of it. I prefer to use the programs instead of listening to others talk about them.

Macs ARE much stylish, and their version of Linux is much superior to Windows... but:
I like PC's much better, they're easier to use, and there is so much more out there for them. Products and support.

Mac...but only because they use them at my school and their programs are good for using with my music and musical theatre classes.
