Great finale! I'm really happy they won, though they weren't my favorite team. Other than stealing the money while the rockers were still in the room, the twins really didn't bother me. It just seemed like their style of humor and they didn't seem to offend anyone else including the Beekmans. Other teams referred to them as "Sri Lanka" but nobody mentioned that was racist or anything. When the twins were going on about the "evil gays", the Beekmans were right there and played along. I think they were just as amused as I was that they were being seen as a threat. To me, it just looked like a rapport the teams had with each other and I loved seeing the look on the twins' faces when they saw the Beekmans running to the mat at the end. Yeah, other teams were annoyed by their yelling, but other teams were just as annoying at times including the Bickering Beekmans who had one little rain cloud on their team until the last couple of legs.
I was rooting for the Chippendales, although their tendency to join up with the twins against whatever team the twins were demonizing was getting old.
Did you notice how quickly they dropped the twins when they thought the Beekmans were ahead?

So, according to that article, the Beekmans prattling on about their goat farm was incessantly annoying, but "too much footage" of Jaymes talking about his father's cancer was probably the fault of the editors. Stupid sour grapes article.

I heard radio interviews with all of the teams last night. Jaymes said that up until the flight to NYC, they had almost no interaction with the Beekmans -- barely knew them because of the time difference seperating them. So, the twinnies wouldn't have had much contact either, which makes their comments much more offensive.

In a perfect world, Jaymes will get enough donations to help his dad and get a second gig on a TV show. That guys has personality and charisma up the wazoo!

The season finale's ratings were not great.
"The two-house season finale of The Amazing Race earned a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating down 4% from last week’s 2.7 and down 31% from last year's fall finale on December 11, 2011. It tied as the show's lowest rated finale ever."

Love what the boys had to say about the twins:
Clearly, we wouldn’t have won without these two lighting our fires. But who would’ve thought that we had so much to learn from these two young twinnies? They are truly the ultimate sportswomen. Their “trash talk” and “winner-take-all” gamesmanship might have offended some, but it never did us. We knew they were just being competitive and funny. Plus, what didn’t come across on camera is how impressively polite and intuitive they were during non-race moments. They woke up our spirit at just the right moment. That’s what great competitors do.
