The American Idol Judges on our Bway Faves

So, I was just wondering, what do you guys think Simon, Paula, and Randy would think of some of our favorite (or just popular) broadway performers such as:

Kristin Chenoweth
Adam Pascal
Idina Menzel
Julie Andrews
Bernadette Peters
Eden Espinosa
Sutton Foster
Ethel Merman
Shoshana Bean
Anthony Rapp
Norbert Leo Butz
etc.

These are just examples, feel free to add any more. I just thought it would be interesting to read what people thought.

I think they'd absoluetly love Kristin, just because of personality. They'd like Idina and Adam too, the other ones I dont know because there voices are so musical theater

I think most of them have voices that are too particular and idiosyncratic to be a hit with the judges, but that's also what made them stars.

But don't you think Kristin is too "Broadway sounding" for their tastes? I mean I love her, and she has an awesome personality, and they wouldn't be able to deny that she is better than anyone who has ever been on the show, but would they really love her?

I think Kristin has a pretty mainstream voice. Thats why they'd love her because she can sing almost anything

I think Kristin would be like Scooter Girl, they loved her personality but she is too "Broadway" sounding. I think that they would love Shoshana and Adam.

They'd have no idea how to judge them- legit theater isn't pop. If you're asking how they'd judge them as pop singers, I'm guessing Espinosa would fare best of that list. Ethel Merman would be instantly dismissed. I mean, can you imagine a pop star named Ethel? Updated On: 2/22/05 at 10:51 PM
