I don't know what's drawing me to this show, but I'm watching it. I guess it's nice to see the inside of Random House again?
The Apprentice (both versions) provides such an ugly view of Manhattan. Like it's some scary place to be all the time. The more I watch either version of The Apprentice, the more satisfied I feel with my decision to spend the next few months living in Lincoln Park in Chicago - where I'm saving money and waiting for my friends to move to NYC with me.

Yes, but she doesn't say, "You're fired." She says, "You don't fit in." I like that guy who thinks he's on Big Brother or Survivor. He thinks keeping the weakest team members will help him win and look better and jabbers on about how to "play the game". I guessed he missed the part where they don't actually vote each other off, but that Martha calls all the shots. This show is about decision-making, leadership and capabilities, not strategy. Sure, they will point fingers at each other in the boardroom, but Martha will also be relying on her consultants and like Trump, can choose to fire anyone on the spot without the standard boardroom procedure. This guy is a controlling moron.
"Nobody controls me! I control YOU!!"
Yeah, right. Why don't you say that to Martha?

Am I the only one who had an orgasm watching the show? I adore Martha! It's a good thing!

I had fun watching it. But, then again, I'm a dork!

Posted: 9/22/05 at 12:02pmIt was funny watching her reactions to people yelling at one another as well. Also, I too wondered if Alexis enjoyed the occasional pink taco as well.

I missed it. "Pink taco"???? That sounds FILTHY!!!!!
And "you don't fit in" is much meaner than "you're fired".

"This show is about decision-making, leadership and capabilities, not strategy."
Eventually, it will be entirely about rating-oriented spins like the other version.
Addicted to THE APPRENTICE as I am...
I know the world will be a better place when both versions are cancelled. In this economy, watching people under pressure over a job is the same as masochism for me.

It was a good thing! The Note is a BRILLIANT touch! When she pulled out the cream Crane paper and the fountain pen I squealed! And that line about not failing, but failing to fully succeed-- I swooned.
I have never been a big Martha fan- she's too obsessive and her cook books are dreck, but this reinvention of herself after her prison term is awe inspiring. The show was an hour long commercial for herself and unlike Donald she has LOTS of items to sell to the viewers! The book was selling like hotcakes on Amazon this morning. Her poncho is another top seller and is raising money for women's prison reform.
And somehow, somewhere, she found a sense of humor about herself! I can't wait for next week's show.
