Frank Ocean was the highlight of the show for me.
And like Phyllis said...where does anyone get the idea that this is going to be how they decide the majority of their guests? They haven't even committed to actually using any of the suggestions.

Andrea Crouch was actually on the show twice- once with Buck Henry hosting in 1980 and again 5 years later at the request of guest host Jesse Jackson.
If having gospel artists on spells the "beginning of the end" then SNL started ending during it's second show when the Gospel Group the Jessy Dixon Singers appeared, backing up Paul Simon.
So it literally has been doomed for 38 years, Goth.

Then what was that comment about the backbone of their curation about?

It's the IDEA, Phyillis. The idea. Ideas grow. I think this is poor use of the internet and signals a loss of imagination and taste. You obviously don't.
Clearly we both have VERY large penises.

I have a large penis, also. Bigger than Phyllis's (which is QUITE impressive BTW).
But you think this inter-active thing is "The Beginning of the End for SNL." But as several posters have posted out- interactivity has been part of the SNL ethos since VERY early in the show's history. There was no internet when they asked viewers to vote for Miskel Spellman to host or whether Andy Kauffman should be allowed back on the show but it was EXACTLY the same idea- soliciting input from fans to determine what should be on teh show. So has SNL been ending for 38 years?

I don't know how penises came into this, or why you'd try to use that to your contradictory statements, but okay.
I guess I never understand why people who don't seem to care for SNL in the first complain about how it's run.

I brought up penises to expose your utter lack of a sense of humor. Thanks for the follow through!
You spend WAY too much time on this board!!!!!!!

I like you both a lot, but anyone who thinks Phyllis lacks a sense of humor hasn't read the majority of his posts.
