Well, that had to be one of the coolest movie trailers I've seen in a very very long time. Plus, it's nice to see Brian DePalma back after a rather long absence.

PS: Did anyone here see Femme Fatale? It was actually pretty enjoyable. Severely underrated movie.

Read the book before you see the movie!

The book is wonderful in my opinion. It starts off a bit slow, but once it gets into action it's really great.

It aggrivates me that it was never solved.

I can't wait to see this movie. The trailer is really cool. I remember in high school I wrote an essay about the murder so I'm really looking forward to the movie =)

I am kind of surprised that they're opening back to back in a couple weeks. You'd think one of them would try to push back for later in the year, so that there wouldn't be that potential to "cancel eachother out."

Maybe John Karr did it.

Professor Plum in the Billard room with the wrench!

I have always been intrigued by this story. Both of these movies look like they will be quite good.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

I'm telling you, it was the perverted doctor with the affair pictures, using the rope, on the roadside!

Dr. Wallace Coppin?

All I remember is Lucie was in the TV movie and the sinister sounding announcer in the previews asking, "Who Was The Black Dahlia?". I love Lucie Arnaz and I'm sorry I didn't get to see her in DRS but I did see her in "They're Playing Our Song". I hope she finds a new musical very soon.

You cannot go wrong with an Ellroy book

It was amazing how good a movie LA Confidential was given the novel had so many layers & twists & turns

I to look forward to The Black Dahlia having enjoyed the book

I am also looking forward to Hollywoodland . I have read about this subject before & the more you hear about it the more skeptical I am it was suicide

I'm excited to see The Black Dahlia. I heard that Hartnett, Johansson, and Swank (who looks incredibly sexy in the trailer) are very good.

For better or worse, I think De Palma is one of our most interesting directors. His last film, Femme Fatale, was a masterpiece imho.

I can't wait for this! It really feeds in to my addiction to crimelibrary.com and looks like it has a fantastic cast.

Anyone else remember how last season of America's Next Top Model was filmed in the Black Dahlia house? Way to go Tyra...of all the beautiful mansions in LA, you had to pick that one re: The Black Dahlia

I've been reading some early reviews, and they all loved Swank. Some are even suggesting that she might get a supporting actress nod. She certainly looks delicious in the trailer. Updated On: 9/4/06 at 02:18 AM
