Being a die-hard Red Sox fan, I find it incredibly necessary to give this its own thread. Currently, the Sox are 5 outs away from the World Series.
I'm sorry, I must say it.

No one, sweetie. You still have 20+ championships to go.
heehee
As another rabid Sox fan, I still feel like it's too early to get excited...still four outs away, and we'll probably have to bring Foulke in (god knows he's been stretched over the last three games) I still have faith in the Sox (the management's another question entirely...that Pedro stunt was NUTS!) GO SOX, GO!

If the Yankees even manage to tie it at this point, this will go down as the most insane I've ever witnessed, surpassing Game 5 of the 2001 World Series.
I guess it's the pessimist in me. Can you blame me after last year's Game 7?!?! Though, Timlin was much more efficient than I thought he would end up being. He's been used a lot too! Here we go! Deep breath...

The thing is, I'm a pessimist, too. I'm the weirdest Yankee fan, I think. I always think we're going to lose.

I was at Game 5 in 2001. It was completely insane!!!

That's the way I always am...A good defensive mentality for a Sox fan. I'm always prepared for a loss and if they pull out a win, I'm always super thrilled w/ the shock...WOOOHOO! GO Dougie!
I think all true fans are like that. When you care so much, it's hard not to get nervous, even if you think your team can win.
Apparently you're unfamiliar with Yankee fans, Elphie.

Sorry, Plum. I didn't mean all Yankee fans. I meant the type that Rath was referring to. Not you!
I'm surrounded by them. Trust me. Stereotypes come from fact (in this case at least).

Racial jokes may be uncouth
But you laugh because they're based on truth
...
Still, I like to think that half that idiot attitude comes from the addled minds of sportswriters. (Have you gotten the idea that I don't like them yet?) Most of them have nothing resembling creative ability, so they just spew the same old crap every year. The crap depends on the city, is all.

All Red Sox fans know not to live in the past. This year, the Yanks are done.

YAY!!!!!! I get a break from Yankee mania this year!!!!

Go Astros!
But damn, the Yankees blew it this year. If I hadn't undertaken the task of reviewing the last 8 shows I've seen to distract myself, I'd be really mad right now.

And for some reason, I had decided to put off English homework until now.
WHOSE YOUR DADDY NOW!?
Tee hee hee :o) I'm so pumped... but also tired. I'll bring this post back to life tomorrow. Night all. I LOVE THE RED SOX!!!

I'm in the middle of reviewing Assassins. After that- Chicago, Frozen, I Am My Own Wife, Movin' Out, Twelve Angry Men, Last Easter, and Avenue Q- all the shows I saw from summer to last week. I'm definitely keeping busy.
