you can watch the clips of the commercials, plus some extra clips, and SEND THEM TO FRIENDS. It's too much. i just heard one about a poem he wrote regarding "your perfect hair" as he took a break from making a rocking horse for the local school...
the "Innocent Escapes" section of www.brawnyman.com sounds like pre-recorded phone sex things from the 90's...

The Brawny Man looked like my 11th grade U.S. History teacher.
Harking back to something earlier in this thread, the winner of last year's AUSTRALIAN IDOL was a young lady named Casey Donovan. Every week viewers were urged to visit her website, and it wasn't long before the newspapers broke the terrible news...the website everyone was visiting belonged to ANOTHER Casey Donovan, a certain cute blonde gentleman from the seventies! The situation was quickly rectified, but I wonder how many Aussie teenagers found God through that one chance encounter...
I was on my way here to tell that story...
As soon as it was confirmed she one, major sponsor TELSTRA/BIGPOND started advertising that you could download her new single from her website:
www.caseydonovan.com
Of course, they forgot to add three important characters: .au
the correct website was www.caseydonovan.com.au
This was so funny!!! This made my year...
You're too young to remember Casey Donovan, but "Boys in the Sand" was a classic of the genre! Why I remember seeing it at the old Adonis Theatre on ...
Never mind.
But, Brassy, dear...wasn't the Adonis a pinnacle of family entertainment and upstanding values? Why, I can't IMAGINE why you'd be ashamed to tell us your stories!
(Especially for those of us who WISH WE HAD BEEN THERE, now SPILL!)
Wildcat, you sly puss! Dance with me!
It seems we [redacted] and [redacted] like this before,
The smile you are smiling you smiling then,
But I can't remember where or when.
The clothes you're wearing are the clothes you...well, removed
We looked at each other in the same way then,
But I can't remember where or when.
Some things that happen for the first time (well, more or less)
Seem to be happening again.
And so it seems that we have [redacted] before
And [redacted] before
And [redacted] before
But who knows where or when?
January 19th, 1978 at 5.47 pm and that phone number you gave me was a FAKE!
I'm sorry, baby. But you were special, really special.
What do I have to do to make it up to you?
so i spent WAY too much time on that Brawny website last night, but i loved the parody (i guess?) commercial about the shirtless sleeping nebbish husband who gets schooled by the Brawny guy. But i also could swear i've seen another similar "sensitive hunk" commercial, must have been for something else besides Brawny, where the lumberjack-like lead is fixing a tray for the spouse (maybe breakfast in bed)? similar tone, similar voiceover...anyone know what i'm talking about? it's driving me crazy.
Also, you gotta check out the Brawny Man calendar "real men" contestants.

I knew Cal Culver (Casey Donovon) during the 70's, when I worked as an assistant to Tom Tryon, who was an author and one-time actor. They were friends.
Tom Tryon was also gay, wasn't he? Very talented (and good-looking!) man.

I've spent many intimate moments with Jack Wrangler and Casey Donovan, albeit them on video, me on the couch.
Casey Donovan was rather good in the film version of an off-Broadway play called FOURPLAY (or was it FOURSOME?), and he also played Michael Brick in a short-lived revival of THE RITZ. And did anyone see Jack Wrangler in his incarnation as a cabaret performer?
(Sorry, just trying to lift this thread back above the waist...)
never saw that act, WILDCAT, but very interested in Colton Ford's music career and the new documentary on it (forget what it's called).
