I'm not sure when and where they will fly, but you may want to periodically check this airline: http://companionair.com/. I would love to have Simba fly with us, but he is so sensitive that I think he would be traumatized for life. I'd buy a seat for him on the plane if the airlines would let me... At 36 lbs, he's too big to fit under the seat, as is Miss Woo, I'm sure.

Silence from all three today...

Woo and Ree haven't posted in a bit (perhaps their caretaker isn't Doctor Doolittle and can't interpret Pet-speak.)

Marc is probably busy actually earning a living right now...what a concept. I probably should give it a shot today... :o)

Eddie...hope your workshop goes well but we sure miss your post.

Did you tell the others in the workshop that you have your very own, very vocal, very loyal (often in a sorta scary way) fan club??? :o)

I will keep my fingers cross that they have a comfortable flight. I assume they'll be given something to relax them for the trip, right? And toys in their crates.
(Speaking of furry things flying...you'll crate RightSaidRick, too, right? I think tranquilizers might have the opposite effect on him...)

I was house-sitting for a friend and one of the cats had to get shipped from Buffalo to Salt Lake. Poor Max (Maxine). We'd shove the tranquilizer down her throat, head to the airport and, since it was summer, if the temp was too high they'd refuse to board pets.

This happened 3 days in a row before we got her on the plane. Poor cat, she'd come back home all woozy and discombobulated... then the process would start all over in the morning. The other two cats couldn't figure out what was going on and were leery of being around a very addled Max.

In fact, after day two they really began avoiding us and it took a lot of coaxing to get them to come out to eat. I think they were afraid that what was happening to Max would happen to them, too. It was funny and sad all at once.

But, in the end Max made the flight to Salt Lake and was just fine and dandy! No ill effects whatsoever and happy as a clam in her new digs! :o)

good morning all (especially Mr. Shaiman!)

Wanted to bump this up so we remember that Woo and Ree will be zipping by overhead this week to sunny California.

And, Mr. Shaiman...be sure to pop in to the "Can the adults smoke" thread...you will love it.

HOLLYWOOD WELCOMES BACK WOO & REE

Although yesterday's American Airlines computer snafu delayed our flight by almost 3 hours, we have all arrived home safe and sound

First thing Woo did upon arriving at her humble Hollywood Hills home was visit her favorite side street...Poo Place

Ree, as is her way, simply shrugged and gave herself a bath
