Even our Walli Woo has a Marc Shaiman show biz anecdote behind her
We bought her at one of Bette Midler's annual "HulaWeen" Balls
Rosie O was running a wild celebrity auction. REALLY rich people just having fun showing off their money.
Suddenly Bette walked out holding the cutest puppy ever (she was 8 weeks old). I looked at Scott (we had always longed for Goldens) and suddenly my hand was up in the air. I became possesed! Lainie Kazan kept saying "Go on, it's tax deductible! "What does that mean??" I asked, as the bids grew astronomical! "If you don't give it here, you'll give it in taxes" my table told me. "So, in a way, it's free??" I insanely deduced. "Sure!" they led me to believe, laughing wildly.
If I wrote here how much we paid, you would all projectile vomit, but keep in mind, I was working on them high-priced Hollywood films at the time.
that was 7 years ago, and it's been a world class love affair ever since.
Oh.....WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Posted: 6/24/04 at 12:17amAh, goldens are so wonderful. I do love my little pug now, though. He's a good city dog.

I can sum my response to this in one word and one word alone:
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!
I have a little maltese. I always wanted a big dog like a retriever or a collie or something. But I love my little cotton ball pup.
Walli Woo is the most adorable name I've ever heard. (beats out Sweeney)
Walking by the same person you've already walked by in the dairy, produce, and frozen-food sections.

I'm a total cat person, but I looooooooooove dogs. I wish I could afford to have a dog, too.. or have the space. My little kitties will have to suffice. :)

But they are amongst the most generous & loving dogs.( too sad a story to tell about how much my friends dog helped me whenI really needed it) And w a sense of humour too!

Awww... my neighbor from back home has a black lab and he was the neighborhood dog. Black labs eat EVERYTHING. Everyone I know that has one has horror stories of the articles of clothing their dog has eaten... one had a bathing suit wrapped around its intestines. He was okay, but they were out thousands for THAT surgery.
Silly doggies. Not the brightest bulbs, but the SWEETEST animals and exceptionally loyal. My mom's ex-boyfriend had a yellow lab that led me out of the backwoods of New Hampshire when I was 6. I was with the dog and decided to go on a little adventure in the back yard... got totally lost in the woods and freaked the hell out. I don't know how many of you have been to New Hampshire but when I say the 'woods in the backyard'... I mean... the actual woods. Not just some land with trees... it was scary. =-O
I loved that dog... I hate New Hampshire.
