Years ago, when Cameron Mackintosh was making plans to film the stage musical LES MISERABLES, the only announced cast member attached to the film project was Catherine Zeta Jones in the role of Fantine. At that time, she was only known in the UK, mainly for her role in 42ND STREET and for some television work.
That would have been a completely different CZJ than what we had seen in her first film musical CHICAGO.

Wow... she really can't be as old as people are telling me. In all these pictures she looks about 22-24. More power to her i guess

Speaking as someone who's experimented with this kind of stuff in Photoship a lot, that last photo was definitely airbrushed. But it's still purdy.

NoDay - airbrushing is an amazing thing.
I didn't think they did anything to her in Chicago... I was mainly talking about how flexible, limber & energetic she is for her age in Chicago. Plus she is in such awesome shape. I know about the airbrushing on photos but I didnt think they did anything in the movie...

I think it would take a very long time to airbrush the frames in an ENTIRE movie.
~I can't see her as fantine--I can see the acting, but I don't know, she doesn't seem like the fantine type--not that I don't think she'd be AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING!
