I can honestly say that I have no missed commercials for this show with Kyra using that horrendous accent. Did it ever improve? It was just painful in the first couple of seasons. I never got how anyone could stand it.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
I am from the South and have relatives in the DEEP south and have never in my life heard anyone pronounce some of those words the way she did. I think Kyra is a fine actress, but I cringed every few minutes at some bizarre pronunciation. Admittedly, I could only handle two episodes.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this show, or be able to stand Kyra Sedgewick, when I first watched. After a few episodes, however, I liked it enough to want to see more and after five or six, I was hooked. What I love most about it is the terrific ensemble of actors and the character development that has been done with each of them. The approach to solving crimes is different than any other cop show on tv. It's an excellent show and I'll miss it but it's had a great run and is going out on top, unlike The Office.
I love this show. It's one of the few drama series that I watch without fail. The ensmble is terrifc, the characters interesting and believable and the plots well written. I will miss it.
