Posted: 6/18/13 at 8:17pmI haven't been watching The Daily Show since Jon Stewart left for the summer but it makes me happy to see that they're using Sam Bee more often than they used to. She's HILARIOUS.

I can't express in words how much I love Samantha Bee.
If you haven't been watching because Stewart is on hiatus you've been missing out. John Oliver has been great. I haven't missed Steward nearly as much as I thought I would.

Posted: 6/19/13 at 8:55amI've actually been getting annoyed with, and tired of, Stewart lately. I'm finding Oliver to be a breath of fresh air. Of course it's all just a lead in to my favorite...Colbert.

John Oliver has been great! You're missing out if you're not watching him.
And I loved this Samantha Bee segment.

The Samantha Bee segment was hysterical!
As for Oliver filling in, his delivery still feels geared towards Stewart's specific comedic rhythms and timing. I'm watching Oliver, but I'm hearing how the delivery would land better in Stewart's voice. Perhaps that's due to the writers continuing in their accustomed patterns geared towards Stewart's style.
Oliver seems much more relaxed this week, and I've always enjoyed him on the show. I think he's doing a great job in what must be a very challenging role. Currently, Stewart is The Daily Show; like Oprah was Oprah. Stewart's role must be extremely difficult to fill-in for.
In spite of how well Oliver is doing, I don't really see or hear his own voice yet, but I chalk that up the the nature of the position he's in.
