The Dark Knight Set Pics

Someone on Superherohype posted photos of one of the Chicago sets of the next Batman movie, The Dark Knight. The photos are of the Gotham National Bank set and show some glimpses of The Joker's men, who are wearing clown masks and carrying Uzi's. The only photo not in there is the "million dollar" photo of Ledger in his Joker makeup and costume, the below link is to the photos. The scene they are filming is The Joker's men crash into the wall of the Gotham National bank with a school bus and then rob it the Gotham bank. There was mentioning of them taking people in the bank hostage and one would be someone Batman cares for and it's guessed that it's Rachel.



Other Dark Knight news is that WB is planning on releasing a photo of Heath as The Joker soon, probably in the summer to beat any bootleg photos. Apparently, the first preview will come out this summer, possibly attached to maybe the new Harry Potter movie(since both are WB). The Joker is rumored to have gray skin(not white) with lots of scarring, his costume is going to be raggedy and not the refined purple suit and tails, and he's going to be really, really, scary, not clownish. That's what Nolan and Goyer want for The Joker is too have him be really scary to look at and there was an article about Heath in the movie where he said that what he's seen of how the vision the character makes him a bit worried that the action figure will be to scary for kids.

Lucky, I wish I was in Chicago. I would be there as much as I could and with my camera at a safe distance to see if Ledger shows up in costume. Apparently someone saw what he thinks as Ledger's "mask" cause in the scene he's wearing a mask as well and reveals himself to the bank manager that he shot(there are pieces of the script floating around online from auditions for the movie) and he was saying that the mask looked more like a skull than a clown with a little bit of green hair sticking out.

Someone took a photo of what they think was Heath Ledger, but it's too far and not the greatest quality.

They are set pics taken by a random person, not a professional photographer. Besides, the shot of The Joker's goons came out that way cause they were on a smoke break and then they were rushed back in.

I think it's Union Station, I'm not 100% sure. I'm thinking it is cause I remember reading that there is a zipline connected to the bank for either an exit or entrance.

There are some photos that someone was able to get that has been confirmed that it's Ledger, but he's not in his Joker costume or makeup, even though if you look at the photo you'll notice a green tint to his hair. There is also a photo of some crew guys carrying the Joker's goons masks.

One of my coworkers is working as an extra in that movie. I'm so jealous. I'm not all that far away from there either, but I can never just go some place to gawk. I always feel weird about it.

Still, it's the next Batman movie, and just to see a set or some extras would be exciting for me. I so wish I was in Chicago right now, I would've so tried to be an extra in the movie somewhere.

It has been confirmed that Heath Ledger is on set in Chicago along with Nolan. I think Bale might be there too, but there's a rumor that Maggie G. doesn't start shooting her stuff as Rachael until August. William Fichtner(Malone in Prison Break) has a role in the film as the bank manager that is killed during the robbery. One of the actors playing one of The Joker's goons is named William Smilely, how funny is that. The name of an actor playing a goon to a man who looks like a clown.

Hmmm. It's definitely him, but it could be a makeup test. Creeptastic!

Update....The photo is a fake. Some a**hole photoshopped a photo of Heath with a photo of Orlando Bloom.

There's a ton of smoke billowing from the building now and I can smell it in my office. The fire department has shown up, but I can't tell if it's Chicago's or Gotham's. I'm pretty sure it's real.

I dunno. The street was covered with smoke and it got into our building, which was three blocks away. Plus the fire department was there.
Sounds pretty real to me
