I just finished watching the first episode. I am not sure many people are watching it but if the first episode is any inclination it is going to be a very good season. Also always great to see actors from the theatre community in it as well. :)

I absolutely love this show. It’s so deliciously bonkers and I thought the premier was a great recap of the dumpster f*ck that was 2020. It was nice they got to conclude Luca and Adrian’s storyline and give them a proper send off since production ended early on season 4 because of Covid and ending with the Epstein episode.
Also, I loved how the “opening” credits (or ending for this episode) featured cute baby animals instead of the usual exploding objects. A clever touch for the Biden era.

It's a consistently great show, season after season which is incredibly difficult to find these days.

Adore this show and loved the premiere. I'm really glad Delroy and Cush came back for to bid farewell to their characters, and I thought they did so really nicely. It couldn't have been easy to wrap up the dangling threads from last season, write off these two main characters, and recap the past year, but the Kings did so beautifully. I'm really looking forward to the additions of Mandy Patinkin and Charmaine Bingwa to the cast, plus all of those B'way cameos––Danny Burstein, Bebe Neuwirth, Ben Vereen, etc. etc. etc.

It was a wise choice to have Marissa study for the bar. I love the show too and it is worth the cost of Paramount +. I actually got 2 months for $1.98 through Amazon Prime.

He really has! I think this role is intended for just this season, but I really hope they find a way to keep Mandy on the series. He's hilarious in the role and works so well opposite Baranski and Steele. The season as a whole finds the series in top form.

This show is so f**king good. I hope by it now being Paramouny Plus it will attract more people to check the show out because I feel like hardly anyone watches it, and it deserves a big audience and awards recognition. No one had CBS All Access unless you were big on Star Trek or Big Brother. Even I would cancel my subscription every year after BB ended and started up again the following year. I would binge The Good Fight after they already aired when I had the streamer for BB. I just hope it doesn’t risk getting cancelled now that it’s on Paramount.
It absolutely should have been nominated for some Emmys this year, especially because the biggest competition for Drama’s, Succession, Ozark, and Marvelous Mrs. Maisel weren’t eligible this year.

It wasn't eligible this year because of the June premiere date. I'm also hoping the added visibility of Paramount+ might drive some Emmy nominations in 2022, perhaps for Mandy Patinkin, who they nominated repeatedly even after they stopped caring about Homeland otherwise.

There are so many good deals out on streaming services. I jump around to all the services that have add ons. Apple, Roku, Hulu and Amazon. Roku recently had channels for 99 cents a month. When one goes up to full price I cancel after the promotion and find it on another streaming service.I got AMC plus for one month for 99 cents.
If you do not have cable, Paramount is not a bad deal because you can also watch CBS live. I find the cost of streaming services to be quite low compared to buying a movie theatre ticket.
I recently got Disney plus through Amazon prime. 6 months for 99 cents a month.

Using Elaine May in that guest role (episode 6) was priceless.
