Solo theatergoers are on the rise — and theaters want more of them : NPR

Is this a real thing? Solo theatergoers have always been part of every audience. What a wild thing to just notice and write an article on.

Yerin Ha is having quite the moment right now, so this casting is excellent. I have heard nothing but good things about this show, so this is truly exciting it's coming to Brooklyn.

I'm glad to hear it. I removed it for Orchestra K center and it was $186 vs $169.

Yeah, Ticketmaster can advertise 25% off their tickets because they charge more. The average person just looking to buy tickets (so no one here) might not understand that or that Broadway.com is such a rip off. It seems predatory and gross.

And that Beaches promo that's a whole 17 dollars off tickets? Jesus Christ.

It's public information from a year ago that's pretty easy to find. Now please, continue arguing with yourself and your multiple personalities in the Cats thread, it's hilarious.

The divorce was settled, she received a fantastic pay out, and he is free to marry Ms. Foster this Summer. Concerning yourself with the financials of a man worth many millions of dollars is bizarre and absolutely none of your business. Move on, they all have.

But yes, an Off-Broadway play is clearly the most lucrative thing you could ever do as an actor who can do whatever he wants in life. 100%

Sutton, are you saying that Jellicle Ball isn’t gonna last long on Broadway or are you saying it’s gonna be one of those shows that caters to a very specific kind of audience. I mean A Strange Loop catered to a specific audience and didn’t last that long on Broadway. Personally, I think Jellicle Ball should definitely last a good while (and if there’s any proof all of the onstage seating is completely sold out for the current run at this point)"

Not always. A Strange Loop had like a million celebrity producers and it still closed at a loss. They don't make a difference in the success of a show, it's got to stand on its own. I loved A Strange Loop but recognized that it's not for everybody a

Of course, Benko had a solid reputation by the time Michele replaced Feldman, and many, many people enjoyed her Fanny. Benkoplayed the role 180 times, a formidable accomplishment in such a star-challenged revival."

She was the actual star before Lea came in. Afterall, the NYT profile about the sho

When an artist is reduced to asking for money to make Happy Birthday selfie videos, you know your career has somewhat taken a detour. Where did things go wrong, Matthew? Judging someone for making money when times are tough and work is scarce is a wild take. It reminds me of the assholes who dragged Geoffrey Owens for bagging groceries in between gigs. Disgusting and none of their business.

Go get em, Matthew!

The "we" people are the kind of people who say sh*t like "We're pregnant". Nah, your wife is pregnant, you just exist. It's annoying but harmless, although bitching about a show for months yet announcing you are still going is...strange.

I am so excited about this show, they've been promoting it for months, they have this fantastic sale going on all week, and they are excellent on their socials. Time will tell but in a very weak year, I think this wi
