I've actually been there!
It was shortly after it opened and it wasn't really completed. I remember that a Christian Rock Group was singing on Herod's Porch. The Dead Sea Scrolls attraction wasn't open yet. I do recall attending a multi-media presentation about the Crucifixion. It was rather bland. There were some nice meditation gardens and a reconstruction of the Garden Tomb.
I recall having an excellent lunch (no the loaves and the fishes didn't multiply) but he gift shop was poorly stocked and they didn't have t-shirts in my size.
At that point you could visit the entire park in about 2 hours. I don't know if they've expanded. I spent more time trying to find the place than I did visiting it. Hopefully the roads are better marked now.
