Is anyone excited about seeing it? I'm looking very forward to it and hope that it's much better than Ang Lee's film. Actually, from the trailers and tv spots and clips, it does look better than his film.
Speaking of TV spots, I thought I'd share this one that features a certain cameo:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOq0BD_Eiig
YES!!! This looks SO much better than the original and I think using the "Guest Apperance" was a GREAT move.
Parts of it were filmed downtown Toronto.
It was really neat to see... I was walking to school and noticed that I was walking right through the set.

they filmed there at night and it's all the scene with the huge hulk running around the city
When ever someone sees this...can someone tell me if they offer an explanation as to why his shirt disappears when he becomes the Hulk, but somehow his pants always remain. Not that I want to see the green one's member, but it just seems...well...so unbeliveable.
I LOVE Edward Norton and he was very involved with this throughout the production. I just wish they would not have made the Hulk CHI.They made this mistake last time and I remember laughing in the theatre whenever the Hulk entered. I would have had Stan Winston Studios come up with something a little different. I am already sick to death of cgi effects in movies.
JustAGuy I heard that yes, there is going to be some explanation not only as to why the Hulk's pants remain, but also to why the pants get seem to stretch and get bigger every time he transforms. I'm glad they're addressing this cause it always bothered me too!
Personally I think they leave his pants because they don't want it to turn into some kind of sci-fi porn movie!
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Edward Norton without pants. I mean, it might be slightly awkward while he was in Hulk mode, but he has to calm down eventually.
If he has no job, how does he afford 2 or 3 sets of clothes each episode?

Not only that, but his pants always seem to be purple, no matter what pants Bruce Banner is wearing at the moment he transforms, the Hulk is always wearing purple pants.
The Hulk in this looks so much better than the Hulk in the last movie and it's voiced by Lou Ferrigno. When Hulk screams, Hulk Smash, that's Lou Ferrigno.
Ed Norton's script makes reference to other Marvel characters like the cameo by another Marvel character, and then there's a reference to Captain America as well, all leading up to the eventual Avengers movie that is supposed to be coming in 2011.
Lola_Actor,
Hah...we must have gone to the same school because those pics are right from my school (Ryerson). Its fun to watch the trailer because its very recognizable Toronto streets and locations trying to pass for New York.

For whatever reason, we saw this yesterday. Blech.
Yes, there is a pretty flimsy explanation as to how his pants stay on when he turns into the Hulk. It wasn't the best movie in the world (or even of the summer) but the action sequences are definitely thoroughly enjoyable, and better than Iron Man in that respect.

Basically it was that he buys bigger pants or stretch pants. There's a scene in the movie where he's buying pants in South America and the woman he's buying them from hands him a pair and then he turns to this large woman who is bending over and he puts those pants up to her and then turns around and says, Bigger.
I saw this last Friday night and I absolutely loved it. I thought it was a million times better than that piece of crap that Ang Lee directed. I thought Ed Norton was a much better Bruce Banner than Eric Bana and I thought William Hurt was a better Gen. Ross than Sam Elliot. I really enjoyed Tim Roth's performance as Blonsky and Liv Tyler as Betty Ross. The action sequences were great especially the end battle between Abomination and Hulk. Both Hulk and Abomination looked great, and I loved the little references to other characters in the Marvel Universe like the Super Solider Serum developed during WWII(Captain America) and the nod to another Hulk villian(Dr. Sam Sterns becomes The Leader and he's hinted at during Blonksy's transformation in Abomination basically a vile of Banner's blood(I think that's what it was) spills on Stern's head and his head starts to grow larger).
I will also say this, the cameo that is in a couple of the tv spots for the movie is at the end of the movie. I almost thought they decided to cut it out, but it's at the very end of the movie and it's purpose is for fun and it has the same purpose as the cameo in Iron Man.
I saw it last night and thought that it was light years better than the other Hulk movie.
See, I really like the idea of Ed Norton and Tim Roth wrasslin'. But when they're big blobs of CG when the wrasslin' starts, it kinda loses its appeal, and I just want to go and see 'Iron Man' instead, despite Terrence Howard.
Ah well, I can't even afford 'Indy 4' yet, 'Hulk' is WAY down my list of things to do if I ever have money again. XD
I saw it yesterday. I wouldn't have chosen it, except two friends were having their birthday dinners and wanted to see a movie too, so they picked it.
It was pretty good -- don't think I'd see it again, but the story was interesting, the effects were excellent, and the cast(ing) worked really well, too.
My head did hurt afterwards from just how loud it was, though.
In both Hulk movies, it simply looks to artificial.
Where is Lou F when you need him?
Wow, totally mixed reviews.
I have no desire to see it though.
Can't wait to see this. I just love Edward Norton in all that he does.
When this comes out on dvd and blu-ray there will be 70 minutes added. Apparently Universal made the director cut a huge chunk of the film and it did not help it either. I liked the film but before even knowing about the major cuts I thought it looked rushed in places. I guess there is another story line that was totally cut out. I really like Edward Norton (who co wrote the film by the way)
He really got into the character and the background and at times I though it was very Dr.Jekyl and Mr.Hyde. Way better than the version that came out a few years back. I still wish they did not CGI the Hulk. I miss make up and creature effects. Stan Winston Studios or even Jim Henson studios could have done something really cool with it. Still, I felt the film was good but could have been better.
I have high hopes for the dvd and blu-ray version.

I saw it friday night. There wasn't enough talking in it and in some parts it was really slow. For the most part it was a great movie and I really enjoyed it,not as good as iron man though. I'm really excited about batman!!!!!!!

That was one of the big things that came out of this movie. Norton and Marvel butted heads about the final cut of the movie. Norton wanted something more nuanced and probably in the same vein as Batman Begins, but Marvel wanted something under two hours that was action packed and as commerical as possible. Marvel of course won, that's why you don't see Norton on Leno, Letterman, Regis and Kelly, Today to just to name a few to promote the film. The only one that promoted the film was Liv Tyler. All of the stuff that got cut was alot of what Norton wrote.
I absolutely loved this. I thought it was a million times better than that piece of crap that Ang Lee directed. I loved Norton as Banner, he was just perfect, and Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky was terrific casting as well. I thought everyone did a great job in this film and I loved all the fight scenes especially the end battle between Hulk and Abomination were you hear Hulk scream, "Hulk Smash".
It joins Iron Man with my favorite comic book movies of the summer so far. I'm eagerly awaiting TDK(I just ordered my 12:01am show tickets).
Yeah, I heard that too Worrell. Norton I think is good and he has a reputation for being difficult, but I feel they should have let him have his way on this one. Still, the length and all should have been discussed in preproduction.
I liked how Norton played this and I can not wait to see the dvd/blu-ray version. It will be like seeing for the first time.
