The JENNIFER JASON LEIGH Rocks Thread

The JENNIFER JASON LEIGH Rocks Thread

Here it is. A thread to post your admiration for Jennifer Jason Leigh, one of the most intensely brilliant actresses working today. And discuss your favourite performance of hers, stage or screen. My vote goes to Last Exit To Brooklyn, but she is also amazing in Short Cuts and in Rush.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

I hate to burst your bubble - but she certainly didn't rock in Cabaret at Studio 54...as a matter of fact, she stank. But I do admire her on screen.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

My favorite film of hers is Dolores Claiborne. Her and Kathy Bates were fantastic.

And RedHot, she was the second best Sally I, personally, ever saw in CABARET.

Ah yes, Dolores Claiborne. I love the book, and her character isn't actually in the book at all, but her performance was brilliantly, achingly real.

the best little girl in the world
georgia
bastard out of carolina
washington square
and the cheesy: girls of the white orchid (!)

as I said - I like her on screen a lot - Mrs Parker was a great role for her...and Delores Claiborne is a great film. But as Sally Boles - oy - she doesn't seem to have any idea what to do with herself on stage. I think she is best sticking to film roles.

Redhot, in a way that's kind of what I liked about her in that part. She made Sally very vulnerable and unsure which is why I thought she was so heartbreaking in the role.

Well she was very forgetable in "Proof."

I do like her very much on film, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Miami Blues, etc.

Loved her in "Proof" and so many films. "Georgia" is amazing.
Love her mom too.
