Who else will be watching? I recently discovered the series and am completely hooked.
SPOILERS
So the final season will apparently begin with a murder and then set up the potential suspects by going backwards before the final episode.
MAJOR SPOILER
Jenny is killed. Not really a spoiler for most, but didn't want to ruin it.
GIGANTIC MAMMOTH SPOILER
So the spinoff is called "The Yard" and stars Alice. It takes place in a prison. Guess that lets us know who killed Jenny.

Dammit why'd I keep reading?!!!
I knew about Jenny...but dammit to hell. Alice? Well at least I get to keep watching Leisha Hailey, I love her she's hilarious. Did anyone else watch the clip of Alice texting everyone about Jenny and Shane. I died laughing at everyone's reactions. Too funny.

I hope I gave adequate warning. I hate spoiling things for those who don't want them spoiled, especially favorite TV shows.
The other possibility is that she goes undercover to do a story. She's a journalist and that could make sense. Alice killing Jenny, regardless of how big of a bitch Jenny has become, doesn't fit the character.
Did the show start last week?
And I can't wait! I started with Season 5 when I was desperate to watch something new one night. Got hooked and have gone back from the beginning.
I know Jenny is loathed but I love her transition. It is fascinating. I love how deeply flawed each character is.

I'm just glad that they're giving Rachel Shelly (Helena) more to do this season. She's so gorgeous. Hopefully they'll let Rose Rollins out of that bun hairstyle for once and just let her be HOT!!!
Bobby I did the same thing, except I started watching clips on Youtube then full episodes from the beginning online. I finished 1-4 right before season 5 started last year so I was all caught up
I'm way more excited about this season than any human rightfully should be, it's almost embarrassing.
I made the idiotic assumption that I wouldn't enjoy the L Word because I'm a gay male. Boy was I wrong! I've found it a million times more rewarding and introspective than Queer as Folk ever was.
I'm midway through Season 2, desperately trying to find time for it all before the premiere. Helena was just introduced and was barely in Season 5. Is Season 4 her big season? I've seen large chunks of 3 and don't recall her being very present. The actress is stunningly gorgeous.
I'm just so impressed at the evolution of the characters. They take everyone out of their comfort zone without making the plot(s) seem contrived.
I struggle through the Bette/Tina relationship at times but find the examination of the ups and downs (and downs and downs and downs) of a longterm relationship fascinating.
I'm really sad. Jenny was part of the reason I watched the show so much... cause even though she was annoying, Kirshner herself was effing adorable.
Does this spin off have some Shane? I think I'd about die with no Moenning.

I can't believe how much I missed watching this show on Sunday nights!!!! I even got excited when I heard that GAWD awful theme music.
Tonight's episode IMO was really good, characters I hadn't even seen since seasons 3 and 4 were in it (and still looked hot might I add). But my favorite part had to be when Tasha was making up the sleeper sofa to crash for the night, she looked so cute with that bandana on her head.
BTW, who else thought Lucy Lawless was super hot as the detective? I barely recognized her with out her swords, spears and her blonde "friend". Time's been good to her.
I'm one of the people who love to hate Jenny, but I think she's still going to be in most, if not all, of the final episodes in flashbacks.
And, I agree with you guys about Helena and Lucy Lawless.
Oh, and on a personal note, I still miss Carmen.

Did anyone try the new L Word lipsticks? they look really pretty?
I was disappointed with last night's episode.
I thought it was very melodramatic. The Alice/Tasha (I hate Tasha with a passion) storyline went on far too long, I'm not sure where they're going with the illness of Bette and Tina's daughter (I assume this isn't the end of that storyline), and I missed Max.
Who watched this week? I thought it was miles better than last week. They're really starting to set up a whodunit.
I'm glad Max was back (and boy was he ever). And I'm pleased Helena is getting more airtime.
I love this show-I've been a fan since the beginning. Bette, Tina, and Shane are my favorites. I agree with BobbyBuddy- I hate Tasha also. She's too one dimensional, which makes her boring. ANd will someone please knock the chip off her shoulder? That girl needs to smile more. As for Jenny, I've hated her for 6 years...glad that someone will kill her off before the show goes off the air. I also agree with BobbyBubby again- I don't think ALice killed Jenny either. I just can't believe that the producers or writers would advertise the other show and give it away before the L Word's season was over. I just really hope that Bette and Tina will end on a happy note- no more cheating for Bette. Especially with Elizabeth Berkley...yuck! Helena rocked on this week's episode. I thought she was going to kiss that artist that tried to blackmail her when they were in the parking lot scene. I'm so happy that Helena was a BITCH!!!
So, Tina just called Jenny Elphaba. She called her ElphEba, but still.
Ok, so am I supposed to believe that Nikki killed Jenny? The entire episode was so well written, it kept my friend and I guessing throughout. I wanted to see Bette push Jenny off the balcony SO bad!!! Then, I thought maybe it will be Shane, then I thought, well, maybe it's going to be Tina. I still can't believe that it was Nikki, even though they want us to believe that. I think Bette did the deal, then calmly went back to the party. I will miss this show so-o-o much!!!
I think most evidence points to Bette or Tina. It seems like Alice, Kit, Helena and Max were all together most of the time. Max left for a few minutes to get a sweater. Tasha had no reason to kill Jenny. Shane was with Tina, then was sitting on the front porch. I don't think she could have done it. I mean, Nikki was outside, but why would she do it? And then again, why was she hiding in the bushes? I HATE when they end a show like this and give no real answers.
So, how would they do a show with Leisha Haley about prison? I think Alice is one of the few who didn't have opportunity to do it, unless she did it when she went outside to look for her. Then again, the damn dog was circling the pool before that. F*ch ambiguous endings!
I agree, Jersey Girl2. You know what really sucks? My friends kept telling me all season that they were going to leave it "up in the air" and not reveal the killer in the last episode. Sort of like the whole "Sopranos" ending, which leaves a window for both shows to come back for a special to tie up all the loose ends. I still loved the last episode, but I truly felt like I was robbed when they didn't reveal the killer. I also agree with everything you said...I never even considered Tasha, Max, Alice, and Helena. I forgot that Shane was with Tina..you're right about that, couldn't have been Shane. The only thing that I was suspicious about was when Nikki came into the house babbling about how Jenny treated Shane at the fundraiser, etc. Shane told her to shut up, making me believe that Nikki was trying to defend her reasons for killing Jenny.
I missed the first 15 minutes. How do we know it wasn't suicide?

Ah, "The L Word;" so strong during it's first three seasons. The last three were just awful. It went from being a well written, well acted dramatic series, to a fluffy soap opera.
The series finale was just as disappointing, for me, as were the last few years. I think Jenny killed herself; look at the scene where she's talking with Kit. She's explaining to her that no one wants her around, not even her own friends. If someone pushed her into a pool, don't you think someone would have heard a struggle, a scream, a splash?
I'm really looking forward to the spin-off with Alice; she was always my favorite.
We don't know that it's not suicide. Detective Xena jumped on Alice the second she said, "If someone killed Jenny" with, "You think she was killed?" Don't know. Suicide by drowning seems unlikely, though.
Suicide? I don't buy it. I still think it was Bette even though they want us to believe it was Nikki. Maybe, Bette got in Jenny's face and Jenny backed up, not realizing the back of the balcony was broken. Will WE EVER KNOW? I'm dying!!!!
