That was such a great night on Broadway! I was lucky enough to be there, and it was one highlight after another. Sutton Foster sang I'm The Greatest Star, Lilias White sang Don't Rain On My Parade, Jane Krakowski sang Sadie, Cheno sang the bride number, with tall guys in drag as the other brides.

Wish I had been there. I've seen clips of Sutton Foster's Greatest Star and Julia Murney's People.

Very impressed. Does she act too, or strictly a singer? I looked at some of the other clips of her on youtube, and she seems to be able to sing anything.

She's pretty much a singer, but watch out for her, she's very young. She's a waitress at the After Party at the West Bank and she gets up and sings and she's GOOD.

Perfect taste as usual, PJ. I'm crazy about Alysha. Gorgeous voice and she's a fantastic jazz singer too.
At her last concert at the Beechman room in June, she belted Cornet Man then announced, "You've just heard the 'Broadway' part of my set" (one song), then spent the next twenty minutes doingf a tribute to Dinah Washington.

The concert was recorded and should be out later this fall.

Alysha's a knockout with the biggest, brightest green eyes I've ever seen. Here she is with another favorite gal of mine, Sally Wilfert.

"Hurry up and get into your conga clothes - we've got to do something to save this show!"

The FG concert was amazing - Jane Krakowski was hysterical during Sadie Sadie climbing all over Peter Gallegher. A great night! Cornet Man is a great song that should've been included in the movie. Streisand sang it great. On the mono recording of the LP you can here her say "we're going home!" to the studio musicians during a late night recording session that went on forever. It was removed for the stereo release and of course isn't on the cd.
