I've noticed how most of BWW has taken a liking to Pushing Daisies, which has prompted me to start this thread. Lee Pace is not only extraordinary as "The Piemaker" but has starred in other vehicles such as Wonderfalls, Soldier's Girl, Guardians, The Good Shepard (to name a few of his screen and stage credits). He will be in two films this upcoming year - Possession and Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day.
Let's discuss this loveable fellow.

Soldier's Girl is beautiful but incredibly heartbreaking.
It's kind of in the realm of Torch Song Trilogy (with the big difference, of course, that Soldier's Girl is based on real life events and people rather than a play).
I think he needs to do more roles that require him to wear a dress.
I would really love to see him in Cabaret either as Cliff Bradshaw or the Emcee. Cliff; because I see a lot of that naive charm he has for Ned which reminds me so much of Cliff at times. Yet there's a mystery to the character (the revival hints at his sexuality). The Emcee; to be honest, a part of me just wants to see him glammed up in tight suspender pants and an audacious amount of make-up. But there's that perverse and dark side which makes the character so fascinating to watch. Also, Lee seems to handle obscure roles very well, although I'm not certain about the singing aspect... but that's what's great about Cabaret, one doesn't have to sound perfect.

Definitely.

Thanks for the interview, JAG!
Austin, unfortunately I'm in Maine. But whenever you get up to New England, we'll have a Lee Pace Day. :)
