I was curious if anyone's seen it yet. I despise Rob Zombie and everything he's done so far but the previews for this one looked sort of interesting. And even with Moviepass, I don't want to waste my time on something that's going to be absolute standard Zombie-crap.

My friend sat next to Rob Zombie at a wedding and she came away LOVING him. As an aside.
He's on the Nerdist podcast this week. I'll have to give it a listen.

Jordan have you seen El Super Beasto? That is probs the only thing I like from him. In regards to Lords of Salem. I think it looks promising.
I love Zombie, music and movies. And of course persona.
The early reviews (it premiered last week) from the horror community(Dread Central, Arrow-In-The-Head, Bloody Disgusting etc.) has been lukewarm.
All I know about it is that still they released of Satan's penis.
It was just...I don't even know...horrible.
I'm not gonna post the pic, but you can find it here
Ewwwwwww. It looks like what I'd imagine is in Dollypop's pants.
In any case, I ended up seeing "42" this morning. I'll wait a bit for SALEM.
Did you (or anyone) end up seeing this? I'm trying to decide if I want to go today. I really liked The Devil's Rejects, but disliked to despised everything else he's done. Still, I have Movie Pass so it's not like I'm spending any money. Updated On: 5/17/13 at 05:24 PM
I forgot I started this thread. I did end up seeing it last week. The premise was interesting but of course Rob Zombie completely fvcked it up with his complete inability to tell a story.
And I still say that Sheri Moon Zombie is a fantastic actress with that really rare totally natural quality about her. It's just a real shame the only things she ever does are her husbands piece of shlt movies.
But I will say that even though this movie was pretty much horrible, it was his best movie so far (not like that's saying much). And poor Dee Wallace and PATRICIA QUINN. I had no idea Quinn was in this and made a little gay gasp when I saw her. But when I saw what Zombie wrote for her to say and do, I wanted to just punch him.
Nobody plays hysteria quite like Dee Wallace. Except maybe Veronica Cartwright.
Cartwright and Wallace need to form a Sweeney Sisters style act and take it on the road.
They could take turns screaming as tears well up in their eyes.
What particularly didn't work with this? The Nerdist podcast with Zombie revealed a very centered and amusing guy. He claims he's done with horror as a genre and wants to do a sports themed movie next.
