Thanks. Yeah, I knew that the show was about that. It's seems like it'll be fun anyways. "There aren't any small roles, just small actors"

I've done two productions of THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER and neither one was particularly good. Both were poorly cast and the last one was horribly directed.
No one in the first cast liked the gal who was playing Lorraine Shelton. She was putting on airs off-stage and was pretty weak as an actress. Before the last performance several of us in the cast hatched a plot to get even with her. We peeled several raw onions and mixed them in a large plastic bag with even more peeled cloves of garlic. When no one was looking we dumped the mess into the mummy case and surreptitiously walked away. No one checked the mummy case before it was brought out on stage. When the case was opened in front of the audience, the whole auditorium could smell onions and garlic--even the last rows! In the course of action, Lorraine is shoved into that case and spends quite a bit of time in it. The raw onions made the actress tear up considerably--making her mascara run in a very obvious manner. The plot called for the case (with Lorraine in it) to be carried offstage and when it was opened in the wings, the actress looked as though she had huge ink blots under her eyes. She had to re-do her make-up for the curtain call. Oh yeah, she was in a snit!!!! From what I gather she hasn't performed locally since.
To this day no one has 'fessed up to the crime!
