Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses usually bring family members around with them.

So, do what I did one time. I opened the door wearing nothing but boxers shorts, and a nuns headpiece (whimple and veil) and they NEVER EVER come back.

I have always wanted to do that diva. LOL. The closest I ever came was when my nosy (and homophobic) neighbor came knocking and I yelled "I can't come to the door right now I'm f***king my boyfriend."

Before I moved last summer, we used to have a family of Jehova's Witnesses living about five doors down. They would come around every few months. When they came one time, I opened the door, and their opening words were "Hello. You know, our Lord is dead..."

I responded, "Oh really? I didn't know he was sick", and closed the door.

We've only had a handful come since we moved, but when they come in cold weather, my mom invites them in for dinner. I tell her, it's just going to keep them coming back for more, but she won't listen.

A girl at school is a Jehova's Witness, and she buys Christmas gifts for people, but gets pissed when we don't get them for her.

JW's also don't do birthdays. We have a JW family two doors down, VERY hot dad and 3 very hot grown-up sons.....always been very nice. Now the wife, she's odd, hides inside, but they never, ever come to their neighboors doors......they send others.

It's a rather sad commentary on society that people won't talk or listen to others anymore due to preconceived notions. It's a big part of why there's so much negativity and hostility instead of understanding and compassion in America.

We get regular visits (only in good weather...I guess souls dont need saving when it's sweltering or below zero) at our suburban home...I LOVE playing with them...usually an adult and a child...usually dressed in their sunday best.

"Are you upset with all the negativity in the world?"

"Yes, especially against the glbt community."

"What's that?"

"Come in and I'll tell you all about it..."

Also, if anyone asks me if I've found Jesus, I reply with a joyful "Yes...he was just afraid to come out of the closet!"

Or simply, "Yes....in the seat cushions when I was looking for the remote! He'd been living on old cheesedoodles!"
