And here is the questionaire I ended up using. It's like the 20th version-

The point of this is to see how stereotypes effect the assumer and the assumed. Rate how willing you'd be to talk, work, or just interact with someone from that community. 1 is "I would never talk to someone who was this".

What was your conclusion, and how is this science?
Did the Teens hate the Christians? Did the Blacks hate the Hispanics? Did the Lesbians love the Asians? What was the point? And I don't mean that in a snarky way, I just don't see a reason for this "science" project.

1. What is the purpose of this project? So what is Gays are much more well-liked than Devoted Christians? Are you hypothesing that this means the gay rights movement will in future triumph against what the Christian right advocates? Is there a reason why you want to find out about this? Pls tell me you do have a reason.
2. Your questionaire is, to put it mildly, too leading. People might 'play up' to the questionnaire and put 1 for not wanting to speak to devoted Christians but in truth they possibly be interacting with friends who are devoted christians but they just neglect that part of their friend's identity. Your questionnaire assumes people in fixed set of categories - I could be gay, black and a devoted christian. You need to find a way to relate to multiple identities. For example,
would you speak to a gay man?
Would you speak to a gay black man?
Would you speak to a gay white man?
Would you speak to an asian devoted christian? and so on...
only by holding some attributes constant as a control, then you find out which attribute is weighted more in the perception of others! Or else, the results won't say anything!
3. The use of the phrase: " I would not speak to someone who was..." can skew your results. Let's say I disliked gays because of their seemingly wrong value system, that doesn't mean I would not speak to them. So if I were to tick 5 on your questionnaire and have you conclude that I will talk to gays hence I do not dislike them - renders your conclusions, should there even be any, wrong. You can dislike someone but still find it within your civil decorum to be able to communicate.
4. Who taught you to see the groups of people this way?
You shld separate for the different categories. Perhaps If i only hated gays and blacks and at the last question, I will be forced to tick religious B and D. But you won't be able to know which was for which - that could aid in some conclusions so do have separate categories e.g. For gays, why do you see them as such? ABCD
For blacks, why do you see them as such/ ABCD.
That way you can have better results! I also suggest having the option "Other": since some people might have other reasons for disliking these groups.
5. I would assume your questionnaire is aimed at finding out the effect of stereotyping on the WHITE community? Because none of your categories have "I would never talk to someone who is white", so do make sure your respondents are white.
I hope you do understand a little of what I'm saying- it's hard to point out methodological flaws over a message board, but perhaps turn your attn away from those rhinestones to these? Hope everything goes well :)

No one's saying it is an unsuccessful project or taking any of the commendable hard work away from Kathy. Why view critique in such a bad light?
I personally would welcome any suggestions to tweak my own thesis, rather than having congratulatory pats on my back than honestly, won't mean much, when the grades come back to me.
Of course, she won't have done it as I would have, but that isn't the bone of contention here. The crux is, she hasn't done it in a way that I can understand the rationale of the project. And since a project is meant to illuminate, I see no reason why I shouldn't tell her so.
Spare me the high ground please, I see no reason in celebrating mediocrity.
(Not an ad hominem attack, Kathy, but if you are sensible, I hope you welcome advice more than that meaningless felicitations)
