The other day I was walking around Portsmouth, New Hampshire (as it is the closest thing to a city by me). And I was able to find two Cabaret references.
First: I was walking past a boutique that had a fur coat displayed in the window. It looked EXACTLY like the fur coat Sally wears. So I thought of the line, "That's a very nice coat." "Should be! Cost me all I had."
Second: I walked past two ladies who were deciding on where to go next. One of them says, "I don't care much - go or stay..."
So obviously, I thought of the song "I Don't Care Much."
Then, the other night, my family and I went to see Clara's Dream - a jazz version of The Nutcracker. During one of the scenes, these two guys come out dressed up like sailors. So my mom and I look at each other and say, "How dare you! You think it is easy trying to find sailors?! This is my second one since new year's and what is now? April!!"
And last night I was watching Law & Order: Criminal Intent with my dad and this one episode had Michelle Pawk in it, who also played Fraulein Kost in the '98 revival of Cabaret on Broadway.
