Over 100,000 New Yorkers have died of AIDS-related illnesses. 100,000 New Yorkers gone.
The New York City AIDS Memorial is still just an idea. A beautiful idea that may one day come to fruition near the Ground Zero of the epidemic in Manhattan.

It does not look as if that income stream is exploited in the planning stages. It is hard to tell if there will even be an official color palate in order to co-brand I Heart NY t-shirts in the official color of the The New York City AIDS Memorial.

How has this not happened in NYC yet?
By the way, has anyone here visited the AIDS Memorial Grove in SF? I've only been twice, and I've lived here seven years.
