The OFFICIAL Brian Stokes Mitchell Appreciation Thread

I'm showing homeboy some props cuz not only does he got it going on...vocally, he can throw down with the best of them. LOL

And now in ENGLISH...LOL:

I think this man is AMAZING on stage, vocally he has one of the best voices out there. So I'm starting this thread so those who feel the same way can show the man how much we appreciate him!

My first Stokes show was Man of La Mancha (yes, I know I was late). He was A-MA-ZING! I shed tears when he sang "The Impossible Dream" and still do whenever I listen to the cast recording. And Ragtime...please! LOVE IT! His voice is complete perfection. Not to mention he's not too bad on the eyes either! Please BSM come back and do a show because I will again be in the 4th row!

I love him so much! I agree, he was robbed for Ragtime. He has the most fabulous voice ever. Definitely my favorite male Broadway vocalist followed closely by Michael Ball.

Stokes is amazing. I think he should have gotten the Tony for Coalhouse and Don Quixote. He was amazing in both roles (I didn't see him in Kiss Me Kate, so I don't know).

His "Impossible Dream" makes me cry.

Did anyone else see him as Sweeney? I had loved him before, but this blew me away! He was just amazing in a role I couldn't really picture him in. He just seems too nice!

I am a big BSM fan. He is an absolutely amazing singer and actor. I have the Ragtime and Kiss Me, Kate recordings, and they are perfect showcases for him and his talents. His Coalhouse's Soliloquy is brilliant.

In my humble and great opinion, Stokes is a vocal powerhouse......not as good as Warlow......but very close.

re: The OFFICIAL Brian Stokes Mitchell Appreciation Thread

He was certainly one of the best Quixotes I have seen recently.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
