Big fan. What's the plot tonight? (I'm on the Pacific so I've got a wait.)

I LOOOOOVE The Office. I'm not sure what tonight's storyline is about, but the commercial had Dwight saying something about all the women hoarding together..."They're going to all end up on the same cycle, and that'll wreak havoc on the plumming." Or something to that effect.

I wonder what'll happen in the Jim/Pam saga?!?!? Eeeee!!!

I saw the visual part of the commercial for tonight's episode (mute was on, sadly) and in one of the personal interviews, Pam was crying and seemed really upset. Maybe she admits she has feelings for Jim and doesn't know what to do...ooooh!

the announcer guy said something like "and a young love is faced with a difficult decision" and thats when they showed pam crying. they showed a shot of jim right before.

and the part about dwight was b/c jan comes in to speak to the women or something and dwight looks at all of them in the conference room and says "if they stay in there too long theyre all gonna get on the same cycle and itll wreak havoc on our plumbing"

Great show -- very funny....for me, the jury's still out on My Name Is Earl - sometimes funny, sometimes not so much.

This version is okay but I was never really able to appreciate it as much as I did the British version, which I own on DVD. I also enjoy Gervais and Merchant's HBO series "Extras", especially the episodes that featured Kate Winslet and Patrick Stewart.

Does "Extras" air on a US cable show or is it available here on DVD? I've heard great things about it and wanted to see an episode or two.

Thanks. Hopefully it'll start airing in Canada soon, or the first season will be released on DVD.

That was a great episode! Although I was hoping for a smidge more from Pam/Jim, twas still a quality 1/2 hour of television. I loved Meredith prepping her Big Gulp in the kitchen. Oh, poor Meredith. I guess her New Year's Resolution didn't stick...And Phyllis with that jumbo bear! Hahah! God, I love this show.

They've all been great; not a loser in the season.

But did anyone else notice a different "look" to this one? It seems as if some production values changed. Not the NY footage, which is obviously location. But the lighting seemed brighter, the actual office sequences less jarringly hand-held, more traditional in execution. (Even hair and make-up?) Maybe I'm wrong. But just looking at one sequence on tape -- the lighting has been changed, this I'm sure of.

As a complete fan of the British original, I've been afraid to check this out - but the good words may eventually induce me to peek in if they do a DVD release.

DG - do not worry. We watched all of the British version, and my wife is British, but we freaking love this show. It is a Disney eveing in our house. All five watch it.

I actually prefer this version better because I felt Gervais went out of his way in the second season to humiliate David Brent to the point of cruelty. He brought it back in the Christmas special, but it still bothered me.

My criticism for both shows is that the character of Dawn/Pam looks pathetic for sticking with the idiot boyfriend when time and time again they show/ed what an ass he is/was. It made/makes me less sympathetic towards her.

Yeah, I agree on the Pam issue, to a certain extent. I wish they'd throw Roy a redeeming quality every now and then just to show that there's some reason that she's still sticking with him. I get the impression that they've probably been together forever and a day, and she just can't let go of that after all this time. I don't know. I love the Pam/Jim drama though. Every episode is littered with "Awww, Jim" and "You're killing me Pam" from me on the couch.

i agree mabel. every episode leaves me saying "argh" at the pam/jim issue.

and i also agree about roy, hes a loser, but they need to show the other side of him. ive been thinking that a lot recently. his only redeeming moment i can think of is setting the date of their wedding in front of everyone on the booze cruise, saying how much he loves her and all that. although, it was probably just the alcohol talking.
