i think I shall say adieu as well. Gnight Guido.
g'night, E_S
WAIT! BABY I'M HERE!!
He was still online when I typed that. I guess he no love me no more. *sniff*
How are you doing today? I'm following this CNN coverage on the earthquake/tsunami How depressing, eh? My family lives in Malaysia (Penang, where the tsunami hit) and we can't get ahold of my relatives there so we're a bit concerned.
I'm doing ok, cant sleep b/c i slept all day. I heard about the earthquake and everything. it's absolutely devestating. I hope your relatives are ok. I'll keep them (as well as everyone in the areas it hit) in my prayers.
It's awfully depressing, isn't it? Not just for my relatives, I just mean the general impact that this has had and what little people can do to protect themselves...I was surprised seismologists can only detect earthquakes when they happen - what good is that? It's so...frightening isn't the best word...but that feeling of helplessness, you know? I can't imagine what the people who went through that must be going through. They're just sitting ducks.
No Boxing Day shopping for you today, or are the massive sales just a Canadian thing?
I completely understand what you mean. I just hope all the relief efforts are swift b/c now is the most crucial time as far as finding survivors, making sure there is clean water available, and treating injuries and such.
Massive sales are universal. The only reason I didn't go is because we had some ice here in SC and these people around here dont know how to drive in snow and ice. They get 2 in of snow and act like the world is ending and get reckless. I can drive on ice but they cant. By the time it melted, I had a nice dent carved on the couch and didnt feel like getting dressed. Oh but tomorrow, I will hit the malls hard.
Oh god I hear you. I used to live in Winnipeg, Manitoba (where it typically gets to -76F including wind chill - snow days literally mean you can't open your door because the snow is over your head, and if you go outside for more than 15 seconds, your skin starts to crack and peel) and now I'm in relatively balmy Vancouver where it's 48F but the way people act, you'd think we're in the north pole! It's been raining non-stop so no ice, but it doesn't stop people from driving badly!
What type of sales are you attacking tomorrow? I've got the same plan as you - we mostly went out to eat and contact Malaysia today - tomorrow I max out my MasterCard (I maxed out my Visa on my Christmas presents). I've got my eye on Sex and the City DVDs and clothes, clothes, clothes.
I usually tell the people around here "Once you've nearly or have broken a tailbone on ice and have sustained a huge cut on your FACE due to getting hit with a ball of ice, then talk to me about winter weather."
I'm hitting Old Navy ,JC Penny, Lerner and Express. I have to get a sweater to match this new pantsuit I got for christmas and some more business casual attire. I need or rather want some jeans and cute/sexy tops. I've set a limit on myself that I can't spend anymore than is on my gift cards. I've gotta leave the credit card at home b/c that will be used signifigantly in NYC next week.
But i'm off to bedly bye land. Have a good day shopping.Night
I will also be hitting the malls hard tomorrow...I wanted to go today, but by the time we got there they were closed.

Well I'll be right back, gonna go eat some mac and cheese!
I'm going to go give lettuce to my hamsters, bye everyone!
Kraft? Oh man I love my mac and cheese. It's the only thing I can make well.

Mac and Cheese cures the soul.
I bet I missed a lot of holiday angst. I had a ****ty time... when I'm feeling up to it I'll relive it for you.
Okay. 1am is probably not the best time. Sorry you're so down. If it makes you feel any better, you can bump my now-dead thread "Christmas bells are ringing! Somewhere else. Not here." That sums up my holidays.

I won't, I'm too depressed to even do that. I just feel like blah all around. To quote my father, and I hate to do that because I'm not too fond of him right now- "It's Christmas, everyone is miserable"
how true...how true
