Question:
How can a recording artist come out with a "greatest hits" album, when they've only been out for, say 6 years? Par example, Spears. I would think that you would have to be out for a good 10-15 years before you can even qualify for "greatest hits". Maybe it's just me...

well Mia, apparently if you release a new album when you just start out, every 9 months or so you're capable of claiming the popular ones as hits. Vis-a-vis, a greatest hits album.

Chello all!

it just irks me when i open the best buy or circuit city paper, and see all these greatest hits albums from these really wet behind the ears artists. i would say that public backlash, alleged drug or alcohol problems and sex scandals should be a part of the determining, but dangit! That still qualifies Britney Spears!

I think that Good Quality Meaningful Music should go into a Greatest Hits album. Britney doesn't meet any of those standards.
