Hello, Ellie and Tiff. I didn't realize Stacey was back again. *facepalm*

Hi Delph! She's been here before? Do tell!
Exactly, Ellie. I kid you not, my eyes glaze over and my tongue starts to droop out of my mouth. It's worse than my introduction to the administration of justice text books.
Delphie! It's horrific, isn't it? And how are you tonight, dear?
Oh and ladies, I need your advice. I posted this on the main board but no one responded except for RathNait. My travel plans aren't firm for Europe yet (I know I'm going in April/May, but I don't have firm dates). "Guys And Dolls" tickets with Ewan McGregor just went on sale today. Do I buy tickets or not? I want to get tickets for the opening night preview (because that's likely the only night I'll be able to see it) - it's not a matter of is the price worth it (freakin' expensive, but still, it's Ewan and Jane) - the problem is I don't know if I'll be able to re-sell the tickets and get my money back if I can't go anymore. What do you think I should do?
I remember the first time I read a Stacey post. I have no bloody recollection of what she actually said, but I DO know it was completely offending and confusing, too.
I am feeling down this evening. Is this the angst thread? I hope. 'Cause I'm angstin'. Oh well.
Anyway, I say BUY THE TICKETS! It's Ewan McGregor, for God's sake! You could sell those tickets in a second, Tiff. I really wouldn't worry about it. (But what do I know?)

Buy the tickets. You have an eBay account, right? Buy them. If you don't you may regret it later, after they've sold out - but if you do, and can't go, you'll also feel bad, but which feeling would be worse? The wasteage of a few bucks, or the lost chance to see a once-in-a-lifetime musical starring Ewan and Jane?
Buy the tickets!

Okay, see, that's what I think too. Except this isn't a few bucks. It's actually closer to over $250.
Is it likely they'll get snapped up on eBay? I don't even care if I make a profit - I just want to make sure I'll get all my money back afterwards!

How certain are you that you'll be there?
10 - 20% - forget about it.
20 - 50% - are you a rich aristocrat? Get the tix.
50 - 75% - Think about it carefully, and if you can realistically afford it (even with the prospect of losing the money), get the tix. Consider changing your plans.
75 - 100% - Get the tix!
Good chart. I'm at about 75%. That's what kills me.

When will you be finalizing your plans? How quickly are the tickets likely to sell?
Aaah, screw you - I want to go!!!!!!!!!!!
I KNOW! I KNOW! Do you see why I'm so stressed? I've been in thsi state since 3am this morning, and I haven't even bothered angsting to anyone until now, even though I've actually got a vein in my temple that's protruding! The plans won't be finalized by next week latest. I can't determine how quickly tickets are likely to sell, but I'm thinking FAST. Because this morning when they went on sale (I was online when it started selling), I could get front row of the mezzanine center - when I refreshed a few minutes later, it was second row. and NOW - NOW!! - NOW the goddamn ticketmaster is closed until 58 more minutes, and I don't know what seats are left, and I'm so stressed it's going to give myself a nosebleed.

At least if you get the tickets, it'll put an end to the stressing for now at least. Oh, get them woman! And if your plans aren't finalized, can't you just work around it? And can I tag along? At your expense?
"And can I tag along? At your expense?"
Yes. No.
I'm more than happy to work around it. In fact, I've already also arranged the tours so I'll be around for the opening of Billy Elliot (EEEE!!!!). Problem is my aunt (who lives in Malaysia) is doing this on her own time, and doesn't seem to see how badly I want to see this show. Plus she's picking up most of the tab for EVERYTHING (including most of my spending money), so it seems bad if I rush her. I AM picking up the tab for these tickets though.
*headdesk* *headdesk* 50 minutes!

Can I tag along at your aunt's expense, then?
Have you any other shows in mind? And are you really that excited about Billy Elliot? Elton John yeah - but annoying ballet dancing brats? With a sickly winsome story?
I'm not so much excited about Billy Elliot, but I'm just happy to have the opportunity to go to the very opening of a potentially hit show. I wasn't that big of a fan of the movie. But the thought of going to the opening night of an Elton John musical makes me cream.
And yes, you can tag along to my aunt's expense. GUYS! 40 minutes! What do I do??
Argh! Friend here. Dinner now. Can someone PLEASE be fantabulous and keep tabs on www.ticketmaster.co.uk (Guys and Dolls, April 20) and tell me how the 45pound "stall seats" (orchestra) are? ARGH!!

I suppose that would be quite exciting, alright.
And Tiff, usually after the 'maintenance' hour is up, you just get some sort of error message, so you may have to wait longer than 40 mins...just a friendly warning! And will your aunt also feed and clothe me for the trip? If I'm to go, I simply must have a new wardrobe!
*nearly faints* It's supposed to be back on at 3am GMT, which is in 35 minutes. *faint* *breath* *breath* Oh and woman, my aunt will likely feed you (we're both high-end foodies) - as for clothe you - well, she certainly wouldn't mind funding your wardrobe as soon as we land in London! (And Paris. And Milan. and Rome. But who's counting?)

F*CK!! I didn't realize you'd written and now I've misseed out on 45 pound stall seats! I think I'm going to cry. They're all sold out of the stall seats!
Oh my god Ellie, your row S seats 26/27 are available again! Do I do it??
*still shaking and breathing again*
Okay, I just bought row S, seats 26/27. And now all stall seats are sold out. I done good, right? *shallow breathing* Wow, my heart is racing. I just blew a few hundred dollars on this.
