one of the big annoyances is that the hopsital has youtube & myspace blocked...so i cant see any of yalls videos or keep up to date with Alexyss K. Tylor!
today they put me on a dilaudid pain pump, but otherwise the drs have no new answers or explanations.

Aw sweet norn ... the worst is not knowing. I'm hoping they figure it out soon ... and at least in the meantime you've got good meds.

Norn, if you don't have a spleen- it will take a little longer to heal. That's the nature of the beast. I'm glad your white blood cells are good- that means there's no infection. Hang in there. You have a lot of friends here supporting you!

They switched some of Norn's medications because they think he may have developed an ulcer. So they're going to see how he does tonight and make recommendations tomorrow. (They theorize that this may be the cause of his pain.)
On the upside, he walked around today and actually kept a little food down. YAY!
He also enjoyed the company of a therapy dog named Pixie, and that really cheered him up.
I am hoping to see him myself next week. I miss him so much. We all do.

*disclaimer: i am sorry if i am borin anyone with these updates, but ya know, i am tryin to stay engaged in the world!*
i had a good day yesterday!
i had three cups of chicken broth & kept 'em down; i hadnt been able to eat anything at all since last friday (or had any appetite), so this was a big deal!
& i was so hungry that the broth tasted DELICIOUS to me!
they brought the therapy dog to visit me, a sweet little poodle mix named Pixie....she really cheered me up & i cuddled her while watching ONE LIFE TO LIVE. we had a good time!
i am not usually into poodl-ey dogs but this one was a wiggly little sweetheart!
my sister was visiting & we watched some more episodes of KATH & KIM (thanks to dougeee dimensional!)...i love that show so much (& i think yall would too)...one of the few good points about all this mess is having my sister sit still long enough to watch & enjoy them with me, coz usually she's got so much work to do.
& i got some beautiful flowers in a really cool basket made of woven vines from john & tim!

I think this is one of the few times that this board can be PROVEN to be of value and service - I think it's miraculous to have this availability, and I'm so thankful you are able to take advantage of it.

Miss Holly's way too self-involved to be a therapy dog, but if I give her some of your pain meds, she'll curl up at the foot of your bed and you can pretend she's taking care of you.
