Ta-Da!!! More that I found online...
Thanks for all the great pictures, Kasie.
yes, Kasie, I appreciate the photos too. Thanks. I especially like the ones from the return. There was a poster outside of the Nederlander during the return that had Adam, Anthony and Tamyra on it. I wish that poster was sold to the public, I sure would have bought it. I took a photo of it but it came out pretty crappy.
If those posters get sold, it's typically in September for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. I have one of the big signs from outside a theater, and I got it at the Flea Market. They don't just sell them whenever they feel like it.
Oh, and I saw Adam in Cabaret. Twice. Cabaret is one of my absolute favorite shows, so getting to see him do it definitely goes down as one of my best theater experiences. He was great. I think he really surprised everybody with that performance. And the revival itself was riveting. I miss it.
No problem! It's my pleasure. I love finding new pictures of Adam that I havent seen before, so I figured that some of you might not have seen them yet either and would appreciate them as much as I do!
Yeah, I LOVE Cabaret and I think Adam did an excellent job (from what I have seen on youtube)...
I wish I could have seen it on stage though. I think after the goodbye tour in 2009, he needs to come back to Broadway. He is SO talented at everything he does, from RENT to Aida to Cabaret. I mean, not just ANYONE can play the Emcee and he was excellent. Can't wait to see what he does in the future.
I mean, not just ANYONE can play the Emcee
Heh, you don't know much about the Roundabout production, do you?
Not knocking Adam but Skittles is right, there were a few very odd choices going on during that show...
Thanks for the pictures, Kasie. The new one from the set is especially funny!
I wonder why they didn't make new posters to sell during their run. Maybe it was because it was originally only supposed to be for a short time. Either way, I can't imagine that they wouldn't have sold well. I'm sure there'll be a lot of interesting things at the flea market this year with the show closing.
Hah, yeah, it seems the powers that be often thought differently. It's probably one of the best -- and most difficult -- male musical theater roles out there, and while it was often cast perfectly, it was also often very mis-cast.
What I actually meant when I said that not just ANYONE can play the Emcee, I meant that not just anyone can play the emcee WELL. I wasn't implying that not just anyone can get the part because clearly it has been mis-cast in the past. All in all, I was simply just trying to say that Adam did a good job.
Should have specified more.
Sometimes, I still have nightmares about Jon Secada.
And it's been four years.
Poor Em. *pats*. I've only seen pictures of him but can imagine how traumatizing it would be for you.
I couldn't see the pictures at work, but now I can. God, I just loved him being back in RENT. He just looked so....amazing! I can't explain it. I was out tonight with a friend and we were talking about shows I have seen and he asked how I could've seen RENT so much the summer, and I just couldn't get him to understand how amazing the return was.

I know what you mean, and wondered why it was different now. I suppose it's changed over the years.
Lately I've enjoyed looking at the quite varied performances he's done in Rent, Aida, Cabaret, Chess and Hair. The contrast between I Don't Care Much from Cabaret and the song he does from Hair is quite striking.

I love these pictures! A great way to decorate the new thread.
Anthony gave an interview recently that is pretty interesting.

he mentions his hope that other original cast members may join them on the tour.
I hadn't seen those photos of Adam and Rosario before, they're cute.
Thanks for posting that robin!!!
It's a great article. I really hope that some of the original cast members decide to do it, especially Wilson and Jesse. Seeing Jesse sing the "I'll Cover You Reprise" would be breathtaking and seeing Wilson play Angel has always been a dream of mine...but if they dont, I am still thankful that Adam and Anthony are doing it. I can't wait!! and I hope the tour dates are announced soon.
I would absolutely love to see Jesse as Collins if I could. That would be awesome!
Thanks for posting that article!
oh robin, how awful your avatar is, lol!
yes, Tink, its god-awful, isn't it?
I watched the Charlie Rose Show with Adam, Anthony,Daphne and Michael Greif. The outfits were pretty funny. I just had to try a screencap. I had never seen this show before, it was done right after the Tonys. Anthony looked really , really young but was so articulate as always. Adam wore this huge necklace, but IMO, he still looked cute.
If anyone hasn't seen it, I'd recommend watching it.
I've seen that show. It's interesting how Adam has changed since then. He seemed more quiet and spoke in a more measured way. Now he's a lot more open but also tends to sometimes repeat words when he gets ahead of himself.
Michael Greif cried at Next to Normal. Hee.
"I really need to buy a Rent program."
