I was wondering when Adam's episode of Cold Case was re-airing.
It doesn't seem like Goyband will have a major release in theatres, right? I don't know much about independent films, but I hope it is released on DVD at some point, even if the film's only shown at festivals. I hope it doesn't just disappear like Temptation, because it doesn't seem like many people got to see that either.
There's no telling whether it will have a theatrical release or not. We don't even know if it has a distributor. A lot of independent films use the festivals to find one, so maybe not. If a good distributor does pick it up, it could have a decent release. Plenty of little movies have managed that, and a few have gotten a lot of attention. It has a good cast with some name recognition, which helps a lot too.
Temptation was pretty off-beat, from what I've heard, an almost sung-through musical with no real settings, just digital animation. This movie looks to be much more mainstream.
Temptation!! My favorite!
I take it that means you saw it, Emcee?
I did, I was one of the lucky few!!

Hee, I asked for that to be revived.
I remember it was one of the earliest threads I read on BWW.
Thanks, I'll probably sit here and read that now and procrastinate further!
It's a good read!
Thanks for the linked the article, reading the reviews made my day. He wore a dude's cheerleading outfit?? Heeeee, I'd like to see that

Adam was in a CHEERLEADING outfit? and said "Let's go shopping!!"
Oh dear.
Yay! My 1,000 Post!!
Just wanted to let everybody know because this thread (or one of the earlier incarnations of it) was the first thread I posted in on BWW. In fact, it's the only reason I came here. So now I'm a legend! Yay!
Adam...oh boy. I would love to see that.
It was wonderful. Terrible movie, but I loved it. I laughed so hard.

haha..I would've too Emcee. I probably wouldn't be able to control myself from laughing.
Just kidding, Adam. I bet you had an Oscar worthy performance.
Congrats Angela :)
Well, as I wrote then, his performance was quite good. The material was just beyond outrageous.
Even though Temptation was awful in a good way, I hope Goyband manages to just be good. Without the awful. Like now. A little boy I really loved died today. I used to babysit him all the time and spent a lot of time with him. He had to get a heart transplant, but his body rejected it. He wasn't even 3 yet. Just seems sort of f*cked up, you know?
Oh no, that's terrible. I'm really sorry. I know what you mean, when people are so young. It's never "right," but it just seems twisted.
I don't think I'd put Goyband at ALL in the same league as Temptation. I'm sure it'll be decent. Temptation was like, worse than the worst movie EVER theatrically released. Ok, maybe not. But you know.

I'm sorry to hear that, Ariella. It hardly seems appropriate to discuss Goyband in the same post, but I hope it somehow turns out good, too. I do get the feeling that they're aiming for a movie that knows how to laugh at itself. I don't think movies or shows that seem a bit cheesy are necessarily bad if they don't take themselves too seriously.
The movie now has its own IMDb entry: https://imdb.com/title/tt0910898/
I'm still awaiting my page.
Lexi, when you do get one, can I have the honor of starting your first "Is she gay?????" thread?

Yes. You're also free to start the "Hot Affair with Pascal on Set" thread.
I'm so sorry, Ariella. That's horrible, especially since he was so young.
Goyband definitely sounds better than Temptation. I really had a hard time not laughing out loud just reading that old thread, so I can only imagine seeing it in person.

I'm sure Adam did fine, he's not a terrible actor, by any means.
I am so sorry Ariella. That's just terrible. He and his family are in my thoughts.
I'm sorry Ariella, that's just awful!
I'm so sorry to hear about that Ariella, I hope his family will be alright.
Thanks guys. I really really appreciate all the kindness. I know it was pretty OT, but I'd feel terrible classifying the poor little guy as "banal." Bleh.
It's about time Goyband got its own IMDb page, even though it's as empty as a page can be. Adam isn't even on there yet.
Ariella, very sorry to hear about the little boy. I can't imagine what it must be like for his parents.
Maybe some crew members decided to post Goyband on IMDb. That's the only reason I can think of for there to be those rather random credits. I"m also encouraged by the sense of humor that created those ersatz websites for characters in the movie, not to mention the HeBrew Beer.
