The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I was in my non-conformity phase at 16, so I refused to be like everyone else. So I just had a BBQ at the house (summer b-day) and then I regretted it and cried. Ahhh, to be young again!

I had a non-conformity phase as well. In fact, I think my entire life continues to be one big non-conformity phase.

That said, I was probably just bitter in high school that I wasn't, uh, "popular" enough to have a real sweet 16 bash.

And happy birthday, Brina. Updated On: 3/1/07 at 09:36 PM

Happy Birthday Brina.

When I turned 16, I had like ten friends over for a sleepover. I was so cool :P

Happy birthday, Brina! Sarah, I remember that our birthdays are really close. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven My sweet 16 was, uh, the day after September 11(, 2001), so it was actually really fortunate that I hadn't really planned a party.

Anyway, hi, everyone! I've been kinda MIA because I'm still trying to get that stupid power adapter for my laptop, but I'm at home right now.

Yep, I'm four days your elder, so you better behave re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven. My birthday was the Saturday before, and a friend of mine was the day before.

I just realized that I'm the baby of the thread. I can't wait until I'm 16, though it probably won't make much of a difference in my life.

Glad you're back, Ashley. I fully empathize with any computer-related problems.

My 16th birthday started out well and ended with my friends and I receiving an extended lecture from a policeman about jaywalking.

Non-conformity at my school is equated with not owning ugg boots or Coach purses, so I suppose that makes me quite the rebel. The popularity contest is so not worth the money.

Same with my school Ariella. But seriously, who wants to spend so much money on a little purse? I do like Uggs though.

At my school were not as quote un quote 'cliquey'; but it still occurs. I mean, the kids I hang out with are the smart, artistic nerds (if that makes any sense). Then there are the jocks, the gothics, the super sweet artisy kids whom I adore (and are most of my senior friends), the "tan-ones"; and the list goes on and on.
But I'm so blessed to have the friends that I have; I mean, they love me for my quircks and differences; and that my friends and I aren't afraid to embrace the fact that were still kids. I remember one time instead of watching the scary film we rented; we watched Aladdin instead re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven. It just makes me happy that I have a support group like that you know?
*By the by, thanks thanks thanks and thanks again! Today was the best birthday ever!

Aww, I'm glad you had a good birthday.

I had a small party for my sixteenth birthday. It wasn't a huge bash by any means, but I had a blast. I think it was everything I wanted even (especially) if not extravagant.

I loathed high school. Don't get me going.

I'm sorry to here that Emcee, at least your 16th part-ah rocked for thee re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven. For me the crappy time was middle-school, that sucked to no end. And to top it all off I looked like a fatter version of the cartoon character Pepper-Anne, so that didn't help the situation much.

High school wasn't bad in retrospect. Besides regular teenage drama, things were so much easier, lol!

I'm 17 years old and confined in an all girls high school. The drama is endless.

I saw Little Shop at my school tonight and I compared Adam's version of Suddenly Seymour with an average High School's version.

After I promised myself I wouldn't.

I'm such a bad person. Hehe

I love that show Dancin! I too saw a high school production recently and it was AWSOME. The sets were amazing and the actors were phenomenal; particularly the guy who played the Dentist. I talked with him after the show, and he brought up that he's going to be playing Radames in local production of Aida; which I thought was pretty shizzy.

A very happy belated 16th to Brina! Glad you had a great day.

I feel like I've been MIA the past few days, but it doesn't seem like I've missed too much, huh?

I think he's working on a new album now, or so I hear.

If he does perform, I hope he comes to NY!!

A few New York dates have been rumored, but certainly nothing in our area, Brina re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Adam's myspace is apparently sending out spam now. Not that it does anything to deter certain people.

It's sending out spam? I didn't even know they could do that...

His myspace also has lots of weird spams on the message board - ie "I saw your page while browsing and I have a webcam and want to chat" *insert provocative picture* or something like that. The first time I thought someone was serious, then after about the 5th one was posted I was like "OH.."
Yeah, I'm slow sometimes.

I think his whole myspace in general kind of creeps me out, particularly the ones who say "LYKEILOVEUUUUNODAYBUTTODAAAY!!"

Hi all, just got back from Rent.

Adam and Larry are recording the new album in August 2007 (according to Larry, at least). I'm looking forward to it.

The tentative April/May NYC dates fell through, but I also heard they're still working to book him in New York soon.

How was Rent, Lexi? I haven't seen it in NY for a long time, but I finally will in a couple weeks. How does the current cast measure up?

#4974re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I've made a few scattered posts on the main board about it nearly every time I've seen it since last October, so you could probably search for a more detailed opinion of mine there. I might also write a little recap about tonight's performance later, but BWW typically isn't too interested in hearing yet another Rent review/recap (not that I blame them!).

In short, I generally like most of the cast. It's unfortunate that you'll miss Jaime as Mimi, who I feel is probably the best current cast member. Her last day is tomorrow. I'm not sure if you'll be missing Christopher Hanke, too - he said that he was leaving in March a month ago, but if you get to see him, he's a very good Mark. I've noticed he's become a lot goofier and Caplan-esque over the last few months, though, and I don't approve. Tim Howar has absolutely stellar vocals and can really bring the house down with Rent and One Song Glory, and I thought even his usually mediocre acting was much improved tonight.

I'm going to stop here for now because I'm tired, but all in all, it's a pretty good cast, although I think having to see Antonique Smith as Mimi (the next Mimi) would really ruin a lot of the show for me.
